OBJECTIVE: Provide total product line management of assigned products. Provide leadership, global product direction and vision for the product line. Responsible to execute the product development process, help increase margins to established business goals, and ensure worldwide product standards. Work with Lincoln St. Louis, Walldorf, Germany and Asia/Pacific groups to insure required communication for regional development and product support needs. Exercise good project management skills to lead development teams for timely results. SUMMARY: Develops, executes, and monitors market plans, programs and tactics to achieve business plan objectives and set sales and/or profit goals. Leads and manages New Product Development Teams using project management skills (Gorchel’s book 1) for timely implementation and within set budgets. Supports field sales, solves problems and improves performance of assigned product lines. Supports customer service, tech service, and training departments.


1. B2B product management experience. Evidence of leadership and persuasive skills in managing development projects through the organization, i.e. cross-functional teams. Evidence of timely results. 2. Exposure and experience in industrial and / or VSE markets and customers with value added system design and channel support. 3. Demonstrated electrical ability and/or industrial related electronic product management experience is essential for this position. Mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic experience, and/or education is a plus. 4. Experience in P&L, and Income Statement managing. 5. Knowledge and demonstrated skills of using product management tools: Market and Product Plans, Timelines, marketing research, product validity and financial models, capital budgeting, etc. 6. Ability to establish priorities and maintain multiple priorities and tasks at one time. 7. Well-developed organizational and inter personal skills. A self-starting and selfmotivating individual with a positive attitude and influence on the organization. 8. Industrial product and market experience - 3 to 5 years, direct to end users, OEM"s, and value-added distribution. 9. Strong PC skills. Focus on Excel and PowerPoint.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible to take ownership of the assigned product line in all aspects of the business. Ability to recognize and manage the product through the complete product life-cycle. Responsible to develop annual product plans and look for ways to re-design and re-invent aging or poor performing product lines. Recommends the strategic direction for the assigned Lincoln Industrial products. Manage the project and implementation tasks of the development team to defined timelines. Manage product line profitability to defined company goals. Product price reviews, price exceptions, industrial product promotion and discount programs, E&O liquidation sales, and product line life-cycle reviews are some tasks and activities linked to company profitability impact.

Responsible for the front-end marketing work (i.e. market research, data, studies, target markets / applications, competitive assessments, customer needs, international impact, etc.) to assure that a new product is justifiable to the business and meets the company established goals.

Responsible to review and provide product forecasts & reports for the monthly S&OP process. Work with management and manufacturing personnel to help monitor and achieve the sales and profit targets defined by the market plan.
Direct and manage to Lincoln’s Quality (ISO 9001) product development process. Specifically, initiate and lead the process to justify the business case for developing the product, and lead the project through the organization to product launch and sales. Critical areas are in design control management, and leading the product launch package development. Candid communication and proven inter-personal skills are required for timely results across the organization, especially with: field sales, R&D engineering, manufacturing engineering, purchasing, quality and customer / technical service. Responsible to develop, manage and conduct new field product introductions. This includes identifying target markets / applications to optimize the new product, and developing promotion and training requirements necessary for a smooth and fast acceptance of the product in the market. Responsible for international product requirements. Work with Europe and Asia sales and marketing contacts to establish an effective data collection and dissemination process. Provide required on-going support for field sales, customer / technical service and training departments. Responsible to develop and maintain industry contacts (i.e. trade associations, major conferences, etc.). Also to assess and provide needed competitive intelligence, market and technological trends to help understand the market place. QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced degree and experience in industrial product management combined with technical industrial sales and support experience. Engineering degree is desired. Good knowledge of all business functions is needed with experience in managing product development and industrial marketing. Superior communications skills, presentation ability, budget control and planning ability is preferred. Excellent PC skills.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 to 5 years in industrial Product Management or technical industrial sales and support.
