NOVEMBER CHRIST THE KING SUNDAY
22, 2009 The Church Calendar Year culminates with Christ the King Sunday. The
Hebrew people were looking for a military and political King to rescue
them from the tyranny of Rome. Jesus’ reign as King comes not from
strength of sword or coercion of laws, but by his love and his forgiveness.
         WELCOME & THANK YOU!
Welcome Pastor Cynthia Keyser and thank you for leading worship today.

NOVEMBER FIRST SUNDAY IN ADVENT
29, 2009 God will fulfill God's purposes and, already, hidden signs of that fulfillment
abound. On that great day there will be dismay, perplexity, confusion, and
terror, but God's people shall be given strength to stand boldly and receive
         God's promised redemption.

         ADVENT BEGINS
We prepare our worship space with the Advent wreath and candles for
each of the four weeks of Advent. The creche sits empty under the altar
awaiting the arrival of Joseph, Mary, and Jesus. As Advent progresses
decorations will increase to include: candles in the windows, garland, and
