Bio of Rakesh Roshan Rakesh Roshan started his career in the Indian Film Industry as an actor in 1971. He has acted in more than 80 feature films. In 1980 he turned to directing and has so far directed 11 feature films, most of which have been huge commercial successes. These included Khudgarz, Khoon Bhari Maang, Kishen Kanhaiya, Karan Arjun to name a few. In 2000, he placed his son, Hrithik Roshan, in "Kaho Na Pyaar Hai" (Say This Is Love), a blockbuster movie which established Hrithik as one of the biggest stars in India. Director Roshan followed up with "Koi Mil Gaya (I Found Someone)", India's first ever science fiction film which concerned aliens. The film went on to break records all over, and won numerous awards for Direction, Production (also Mr. Roshan) and Hrithik's stunning performance. Despite very limited budgets in India (and the weakness of the currency), Director Roshan made a truly believable film, with tons of visual effects for US$5 million. The New Project Director Roshan's new film, Krrish, is a sequel to "Koi Mil Gaya". It is also a science fiction fantasy. The lead character is indirectly gifted with superhuman powers by the alien in the last film. As such he is extremely strong, fast and agile. The story follows the adventures and romance of this character, which eventually leads him to Singapore, where the entire second half of the film is set.
