The American Legion National Headquarters’ blog, entitled “The Legion Vision” is a place for its members and other participants to share opinions, post and discuss issues, link to relevant items on the World Wide Web, make others aware of important developments in the military arena, as well as a place for learning from each others’ experiences. Submissions to the blog should follow these guidelines: The American Legion reserves the right to screen and limit all incoming posts to ensure compliance with the following guidelines. The comment area is reserved to comments that relate to the topic of the post. If you wish to link to a longer article that elaborates on the comment, you may do so. Please refrain from posting extremely long comments. All postings shall be of an informational nature and for informational purposes only. Postings that contain abusive, profane, obscene, libelous, vulgar, threatening, offensive or racist material will be removed and the author(s) will be banned from future comments. Personal attacks, name-calling, harassment, racist comments or use of profanity against other commenter(s) are not tolerated in the blog. Among the programs conducted regularly are community Veterans Day and Memorial Day observations, September 11 th Remembrance Day, American Legion Baseball, Junior Shooting Sports, a High School Oratorical Contest and American Legion Boys State. The American Legion is also one of the nation’s largest supporters of Scouting. As a large organization of men and women who have stood to defend our nation in time of war, we are now opening this blog to participation and support to preserve the fabric of the United States of America, and all initiatives that surround this effort.
