Description

Speculation has been that Joe the Plumber is actually part of the Republican party, although it has not been confirmed. Many are trying to connect the dots with his family members. Ties are being made that he is related, by marriage, to Charles Keating, of the Keating's Lincoln and Loan Collapse.

What are the chances that McCain would keep harping on "Joe the Plumber," and that Joe would be Charles Keating's close relative? Anyway, good doc.

Joe the Plumber related to Charles Keating? A diarist at the “Daily Kos” has connected some dots that are bringing questions as to who “Joe the Plumber” actually is.  Joe the Plumber's real name is Joe Wurzelbacher. There is a Joseph Wurzelbacher who owns a painting company and septic repair company in Cincinnati.  There is a Robert Wurzelbacher who is the son-in-law of Charles Keating. Robert served a 40-month prison sentence in the 1993 case, Keating's Lincoln and Loan Collapse. His whereabouts since getting out of prison are unknown.  There is a Robert Wurzelbacher that now lives just outside of Cincinnati that owns a wood company and donates to the Rupublican party.  There has been speculation that Joe the Plumber was actually planted by John McCain.
