Description

The 1800 year old tomb of gladiator Marcus Nonius Macrinus was found on the banks of the Tiber River. Macrinus ruled from 161AD to 180AD. The movie "Gladiator" was based on his life. Archeologists state this find is "Exceptional".

Macrinus was the inspiration to the 2000 film Gladiator. He ruled as emporer from 161AD to his death in 180AD.
