Beginning Birding and Birds of the Meadows
Location: Anderson Point Age: 6yrs and up. The instructor will explain how to locate and identify birds in the local area. Pond Study
Location: Laurel Hills Community Center Age: All Ages. Do you and your children love to get outside and explore? Campfire, Story and Marshmallow Roast

Great American Backyard Bird Count
Location: Durant Nature Park Age: 4yrs and up. Do you like birds? Have you ever wanted to get involved in a bird count but didn’t know how? Come join us at Durant Nature Park for the annual Great American Backyard Bird Count! People of all ages and birding abilities join together during this four day weekend to count birds and submit their data which is used by scientists and bird experts. We’ll get you started by counting the birds at Durant and by giving you all the information you need to go home and count the birds in your own backyard! Youth Escape School
Age: 5-12yrs. Need something for your child to do on Teacher Workdays or school holidays? Enroll in the Youth Escape School (YES) program. This wonderful recreational opportunity provides a safe alternative to young children having to stay home while mom and dad work.
