Hire the Best, Ditch the Rest 1. Session Title: Hire the Best, Ditch the Rest (A simple Human Resource Strategy for Exceptional Results) 2. Session Description: This session highlights proven team building strategies by identifying the “12 Types” of employees. Identifying the employees that are “toxic” to your team is the key ingredient to building successful teams. Scores of supervisors spend too much time trying to “realign” substandard team members only to decide later that it was all done in vain. This program helps to identify the “lost causes” and enables a supervisor to react quickly and efficiently. More importantly, this program arms supervisors with the tools to identify the “12 Types” of employees during the recruiting process to prevent dealing with the same toxins running through the veins of their team. Rich has refined this strategy into a fun and interactive session that will give participants information that they can use the minute that they leave the room. It has been proven time and again that the value of a cohesive team is immeasurable, and that business units that have cohesive teams outperform similar business units by exponential degrees. This no nonsense approach is a concept that is not difficult to understand and has a huge potential for the return on investment of time and energy. It has been said time and time again that if we continue to do what we have always done, we will continue to get the result that we have always gotten. This adage is so true when it comes to building teams, it seems as though we continually fight with the same problems just different faces. It is time to do something different and not only get a different result, but an exceptional result. The Steven Covey Principle of “Put first things first” is a concept that is discussed in this program as it is critical that we assemble the right team first, then we can get to the business of achieving exceptional results. This session will be “Appropriately Irreverent” in its presentation. Embracing the concepts of variable stimulus, interactivity, and downright fun, this session will be informational as well as entertaining. 3. Summarized Session Description: In this fun and energetic session you will gain a new understanding team building. You will learn the skills to create and mold an exceptional team by identifying each of your employees with one or more of the “12 Types” of employees. This fun and interactive way of evaluating your team members will allow you to quickly identify which team members are “toxic” to your team and which members are your “producers”. Embracing the concepts of variable stimulus, interactivity, and downright fun, this session will be informational as well as entertaining. 4. Learning Outcomes: Participants will gain the knowledge of how to categorize their employees in a way that will clearly show which team members are producers, and which team members are “toxic” to the team. They will come away with the “12 Types” of employees and be able to clearly identify where each of their team members fit. In addition the participants will gain tools to assess potential candidates prior to hiring them to understand if they have tendencies of fitting into one or more to the “12 Types” of employees. Participants will gain a new understanding of team building and the skills to create and mold an exceptional team. 5.
