Field Observations

Time:

11AM

Weather: Cloudy, mild

- I visited the site between approximately 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. - DeSilva Gates was not doing any grading due to recent rains. The soils in the cut/fill areas remained too wet to resume grading operations in the upper bowl area. A dozer was used to trim additional soils from the slope face that sits to the north of the intersection of “A” Street with “K” Street. There remains 50-feet or so of cut on the slope. - The “I” Street pond remained about 2-feet deep. Water was being pumped from the Baker tank into the on site storm drain system so that it can flow to the lower pond an eventually through the filtration system. The filtration system was not in operation at the time of my site visit, apparently because it was being back flushed. - The water level in the lower pond was about 4-feet below the drain opening
