April 2007 To Whom It May Concern: I am applying for a first through sixth grade teaching position. May 2007, I will be completing my Preliminary Multiple Subject Teaching Credential with an embedded CLAD. Presently, I am in the Tri-Placement Credential Program and completing the final of three placements. This program has given me the opportunity to experience teaching different demographic school populations. My first placement was in a low economic, culturally diverse kindergarten-first grade combination class. My second placement was a sixth grade class at a small, rural middle school with high parent and community support. This last placement is in a high-achieving first-second grade combination class. I’ve garnered valuable lessons from these experiences and I have gained many teaching strategies and management tools. From my placements, I have learned the importance of being organized, flexible, and student-oriented. I am a creative, compassionate, and patient person who wants to provide a safe learning environment for my students. I have a love for reading and an enthusiasm for history, math, and science. During my free time, I am an avid reader and enjoy horseback riding. My resume is enclosed with a letter describing my credential program.
