The Dionne Quintuplets were the first set of multiple births to survive more than a few days. They were born May 28, 1934 in Callander, Ontario. Emilie passed away in 1954 after having a siezure and suffocating, Marie in 1970 due to a blood clot in her brain and Yvonne in 2001 due to cancer, leaving Annette and Cecile.
Annette, Cecile and Yvonne eventually sued for the way they were treated as children, being awarded $2.8 million.
