Tropical Storm Omar formed on Tuesday, October 14, 2008, in the Caribbean. Within a few hours the storm produced heavy rain and wind gusts on the islands of Aruba, Curacao and Bonaire. The National Hurricane Center predicts Tropical Storm Omar will become a category two hurricane before fizzling out in the Atlantic.
