As Lifeline is offered at a local level, prices will differ slightly from one area to another, depending on your location and the service products chosen. Lifeline establishes two-way communication, with the push of a Personal Help Button. Once the button is pushed you are connected to a Lifeline Response Associate, who can pull your profile and assess the situation; to contact the appropriate person or emergency service needed. The Lifeline Response Associate will follow up to ensure the help arrived. Lifeline has three (3) Personal Help Buttons: Classic Pendant, Slimline and Tempo Watch. Lifeline has two (2) Communicators: Basic and CarePartner Telephone with Reminders. The Basic Communicator has an additional option called Voice Extension, which allows you a speaker phone in your home.

Installation fees range from $25 to $75 depending on your location Monthly monitoring cost $39.95 Link to Life is covered under a Medicaid waiver program in most states, though not under the federal Medicare program. Link to Life has a lightweight waterproof Help Button, that can be worn as a pendant or on a wristband. Once you press the Help Button, it sends a signal to a base unit, which is attached to your phone line. Once the signal reaches the Response Center, you are able to speak with a trained operator, who can access your profile and assess the situation; to contact the appropriate person or emergency service needed. After an emergency, Link to Life will follow up to check on your status. Should you be hospitalized they can notify someone to stop the mail or feed a pet, and they will even make a “welcome home” call upon your return.
