									DRAINAGE
1) No Existing drainage channel or ditch affecting a County Road shall be blocked or filled in and no change shall be made in any existing stream, ditch, drainage channel or drainage structure unless specifically approved in the permit. No change in direction or amount of run-off to or from the permit site shall be made unless specifically approved in the permit. Grades for ditches, driveway pipes and other drainage channels or structures shall be approved by the County Superintendent of Highways, these grades must be rigidly followed. The size of any drainage pipe shall be as shown on the approved plan or specified in the permit. Pipes less than 18" in diameter must be approved by the County Superintendent of Highways or his representative. Catch basins or other drainage structures shall be constructed in accordance with the New York State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications dated January 2, 1995 as amended and as established herein by the Rockland County Highway Department. Where a Highway Department piped storm drain system exists, roof and cellar drains may be connected. Connection must be in a manner approved by the County Superintendent of Highways or his representative and specified in a permit.
