CVPT30 08/09 LOUGHBOROUGH UNIVERSITY Regulations for the Postgraduate Degree Programme in Construction Project Management (Full-Time) These Regulations refer to the conduct of this Programme in the Session 20082009 but are subject to change from time to time. Notice of change will be given in subsequent editions of these Regulations. Students should enquire as to the upto-date position when they need to know this. These Regulations are to be read in conjunction with Regulation XXI and the relevant Module Specifications. 1. Structure 1.1 The Programme is the responsibility of the Department of Civil and Building Engineering and leads to the award of MSc, a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip), or a Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert). The Programme may be taken on a full-time basis only. Registration on the Programme will normally be at the start of either Semester 1 or Semester 2. The Programme comprises study for a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 5 years. The Programme comprises study for a minimum of two semesters, devoted to taught modules with a total weighting of 120 credits and the Postgraduate Research Project (CVP009) with a module weighting of 60. Submission of the Postgraduate Research project is mid September, as advised by the Programme Director.

Assessment 3.1 3.2 Each module will be assessed and credit awarded in accordance with the levels of achievement specified in Regulation XXI. Provision will be made in accordance with Regulation XXI for candidates who have the right of re-examination to be reassessed in the University's Special Assessment Period. Students registered on a module by the end of the initial registration period are to undergo assessment in all the various components of that module’s assessment. The overall mark obtained for that module will then be submitted to the Review Board as the student’s first attempt. Where an alternative module is taken as a re-assessment, this is to be done with tuition and with the permission of the Programme Director.
