PROPOSITION NUMBER ONE, AN AMENDMENT Amendment to section 1 of article 14 of the Constitution, in relation to the use of certain forest preserve lands by National Grid to construct a 46 kV power line along State Route 56 in St. Lawrence County. The proposed amendment would authorize the Legislature to convey up to six acres of forest preserve land along State Route 56 in St. Lawrence County to National Grid for construction of a power line. In exchange, National Grid would convey to the State at least 10 acres of forest land in St. Lawrence County, to be incorporated into the forest preserve. The land to be conveyed by National Grid to the State must be at least equal in value to the land conveyed to National Grid by the State. Shall the proposed amendment be approved? PROPOSITION NUMBER TWO, AN AMENDMENT Amendment to article 3 of the Constitution, in relation to authorizing the Legislature to allow prisoners to voluntarily perform work for nonprofit organizations. The proposed amendment would authorize the Legislature to pass legislation to permit inmates in state and local correctional facilities to perform work for nonprofit organizations. Shall the proposed amendment be approved? PROPOSITION NUMBER ONE Submitting Local Law No. 2 of the year 2009 enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Madison to the Electors of the Town of Madison to be voted upon at the general election of government officers held on November 3, 2009. Shall there be approved and adopted in the Town of Madison, County of Madison, State of New York, Local Law No. 2 for the year 2009. A Local Law to Provide a Four Year Term for the office of the Town Supervisor of the Town of Madison elected at the next biennial town election in 2009, commencing with the term of office of the Town Supervisor beginning January 1, 2010, pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law § 10, as enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Madison on February 12, 2009? PROPOSITION NUMBER TWO Submitting Local Law No. 3 of the year 2009 enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Madison to the Electors of the Town of Madison to be voted upon at the general election of government officers held on November 3, 2009. Shall there be approved and adopted in the Town of Madison, County of Madison, State of New York, Local Law No. 3 for the year 2009. A Local Law to Provide a Four Year Term for the office of the Town Superintendent of Highways of the Town of Madison elected at the next biennial town election in 2009, commencing with the term of office of the Town Superintendent of Highways beginning January 1, 2010, pursuant to Municipal Home Rule Law § 10, as enacted by the Town Board of the Town of Madison on February 12, 2009?
