*Pretend you are an immigrant in the late 1800s and write a journal entry (or diary entry)
that describes all or some aspects of your life as an immigrant. You can get creative and
make your name, where your from, where you live, etc., but make it accurate to what
their life was really like. You can write about all or choose one or two of the following
aspects of your life to write about.
         Areas to write about:
                -why you came to America
                -what your trip was like to America
                - how others (Americans) treat you
                -where you live (what’s city life like, what kind of neighborhood do you
                live in)
                -your feelings of homesickness

*Use your notes or the book (pgs. 590-595) for help!!!

*Use complete sentences, spelling and grammar count!!!

*Must be ¾ of a page long and have a proper heading!!!
