New Procurement Process
The Ontario government is committed to providing better access to health care. The
Home Oxygen Program (HOP) will ensure that all Ontario residents who require this
health care service will receive uninterrupted access during the implementation of the
new procurement process.
Home Oxygen Request For Proposals (RFP) Development
1. Proposed Changes to Mandatory Service Requirements
The Ministry is revising the HOP requirements based on consultations held earlier this
year in addition to jurisdictional review, research and consultation with health care
experts. All changes will be reflected in the RFP and HOP Administrative Manual,
which are anticipated to be posted in early-mid January 2010.
The ministry is enclosing a summary of the ‘PROPOSED CHANGES TO
MANDATORY SERVICE REQUIREMENTS’ with this Fact Sheet for vendors’
comments, by December 9, 2009.
The revised pricing schedule and the PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP Pricing Review
are anticipated to be posted soon.
2. Revised Timelines of Next Steps
The following are the revised anticipated timelines (subject to change) of the RFP
process next steps:
