Demolition of the old Fire Station 75 will take place on October 2, 2006, enhancing the
community and offering positive opportunities for growth within Muscoy.

During the Muscoy Municipal Advisory Council meetings residents voiced their concerns
about the vacant building and the negative element it started to attract. San Bernardino
County Fifth District Supervisor Josie Gonzales supported their recommendation to rid
their community of the blight.

“My concern is always for the public safety of our residents,” said Supervisor Gonzales.
“Our mission is to work with our residents to create safer, more appealing neighborhoods
that instill community pride.”

On March 30, 2006 the Muscoy community dedicated its new Fire Station 75, located at
2852 Macy Street. Former Muscoy resident Neal Baker and family donated the land for
the new station.
