A HUGE success!
On Saturday, July 25, 2009, a collaboration of agencies, foundations and
Veterinarians provided spay, neuter, rabies vaccination and microchips free
of charge to 143 dogs and cats throughout our County! This will greatly
decrease the number of unwanted births that lend to the problem of pet
overpopulation that keep our kennels full.
On Spay Day, we spayed 48 dogs and 27 cats. 50 dogs were neutered that
day, as well as 18 cats. The various sites around the County provided rabies
vaccinations for 63 dogs and cats, and 57 animals received microchips.
