2. Review of       The minutes of May 29 were accepted as circulated. The

3. 3. AAMI         Although he did not attend AAMI, Dave Brewin had

                 There will be no parallel sessions. There will be four half-
                 day seminars.

5. CESO          Bob Hooper and Murat must be contacted re: their

7. Siemens       Peter reported on a problem he has had with this vent.
   SV300         that causes delivery of incorrect gas concentrations. There
   Ventilator    is an alert on the Health Canada web site. Siemens offers
   Problem       to sell a redesigned gas module at a reduced price. ($200).
                 Siemens claims it is not a mandatory recall so they aren't
                 required to replace the module at their expense.

                 This issue is similar to past problems with other equipment
                 such as the Laerdal Heartstart 300 and the Baxter 6100. In
                 both cases no recall was issued although there was a clear
                 risk to patient safety.
8. Isolated      Murray Greenwood has reported that Trillium will not be
   Power         putting isolated power in any new construction.
                 Peter Austin reported that none is going in to Halton
                 except in L&D OR's. The electrical consultants still wanted
                 a letter from the president.
                 Should CESO put out a position paper on this issue? The
                 question was tabled until the next meeting.
