									        Is an independent statutory body created in terms of the SA Constitution. The CGE is committed to creating a society

        for the following positions:



                                                        LEGAL OFFICERS
                               (Level 10) R217 482p.a- Free State x1, Mpumalanga x1, Eastern Cape x1

Responsibilities: Handling complaints lodged by the public or members of the communities to the CGE, referring matters to the Equality
Court, monitoring the operation and functioning of the Equality Courts in the Province, conducting investigations on complaints lodged
with the CGE, conducting mediation for the purposes of resolving dispute between the parties. Drafting in puts from Gender Perspective
on the proposed Provincial Legislations or Law reform on behalf of CGE, preparing monthly and quarterly reports, forging a good
working relationship with the internal and external stake holders for the implementation of the Plan Of Action, reporting challenges
regarding complaints handling to the PC and to the HoD Legal, and to perform any other duties as may be requested from time to time by
PC or HoD. Liaise with the courts personnel in the matters referred by the CGE. Identify issues on systematic complaints in consultation
with Head of Department for purpose monitoring and litigation.

 Requirements: At least 4 years Law Degree, Admitted Attorney and relevant work experience • Knowledge and experience in
constitutional litigation and court process • Knowledge and experience in mediation and conciliation processes • Legal Research
experience, analytical skills & sound knowledge of gender related issues and mandate of CGE • Excellent writing, verbal, communication
and computer skills • Ability to work independently in complaints processing • Well developed interpersonal skills •Possession of valid
drivers license • Knowledge of at least one African language.


                                                 EDUCATION OFFICERS
                   (Level 9) R174 243p.a Limpopo x1, Mpumalanga x1, Western Cape x1, & Northern Cape x1,
                                             Eastern Cape x1, Kwa Zulu Natal x1.

Responsibilities: Implement and co-ordinate the developed educational and Informative programmes that will create an awareness of
gender equality. Train and support public trainers and other stakeholders to implement education and information programmes in gender
equality. Research the gender equality field and advise management on developments through appropriate media. Conduct inventions such
as dialogues, workshops and information sessions. To conduct workshops, gender dialogues, seminars, public hearings and campaigns
to advise the Department Head on trends, cases and developments which impact on gender equality. To implement the plan of action
(POA) of the organisation and the department. To develop reports that indicates the trends in gender equality. To obtain feedback form
relevant stakeholders through impact assessment. To make presentations and attend gender forums. To submit monthly and quarterly
reports. Perform other related duties as requested.

 Requirements: BA Social Science plus a professional education qualification/BA Education degree and at least 3 years relevant work
experience. Gender qualification would be an added advantage • Excellent facilitation skills and experience • Excellent verbal and written
communication skills • Sound knowledge of and experience in the field of Gender; advocacy and working with civil society, the public
sector and Chapter 9 institutions • Excellent networking skills • Knowledge of one or more of the Indigenous languages spoken in the
province will be an added advantage • Be prepared to travel and work under pressure to meet deadlines • Advanced understanding of
project management • Computer literacy and valid driver’s license. Ability to work independently, plan and prioritise.


                                                          IT SPECIALIST
                                       (Level 9) R174 243p.a –Head Office (Gauteng Province)

Responsibilities: Render quality IT support service and training of users at head office and provinces*Assist in developing and,
implementing and monitoring compliance with IT Policy*Back-up data on daily basis • Providers for IT support and
Maintenance*Database development and database management *Draw and analyze reports on IT usage and advice the IT Manager
*Conduct situational analysis on IT need and advice IT UNIT on upgrading and acquiring new IT equipments*Assist in systems design
and support * Assist in managing video conferencing network and connect users when need arises*Provide regular feedback to the on
delegated duties.*Perform other related duties as requested.

Requirements: B. Degree in Information Technology or equivalent qualification*At least three years of experience*An understanding of
IT and communications matters *Advanced computer (hardware and software) skill*Excellent verbal and written communication skills *IT
problem identification, analysis and problem solving skill * Client service orientation *Skills in desktop research, data collection, storage
and analysis*Able to perform routine tasks, work under pressure independently and in a team *Knowledgeable in the use audiovisual
equipment *Disciplined, professionalism and efficiency*Advance understanding of the operations of the CGE*Advanced understanding of
project management *Experience on Active Directory and Veritas Backup.
                                               ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: RESEARCH
                                               (Level 9) R174 243p.a – Northern Cape x1

Responsibilities: Responsibilities: Assist with the conceptualisation of research projects and other research-related activities • Assist in
the implementation of the provincial plan of action (POA) • Conduct provincial research projects and inputs into internal and external
policy documents where necessary • Assist the Head of Department as required • Liaise with CGE stakeholders.

 Requirements: B degree or equivalent qualification in Social Science, however a post – graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
•At least a minimum two years’ experience in research or Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) • Ability to speak at least one provincial
African language will also be an added advantage • Sound knowledge of gender-related discourse and the mandate of the CGE • Project
management knowledge, research and analytical skills • Practical implementation of social science research methodologies • Excellent
verbal and written communication skills • Possession of a valid drivers license• Ability to plan and work independently.


                                                      ADMINISTRATORS
                                      (Level 6) R94 326p.a - Head Office (Gauteng Province)
                                    Communications Department x1), Mpumalanga Province x1

Responsibilities*Render secretarial services and administrative support.*Render general reception services.*Exercise control over
financial resources.*Take minutes and arrange time and venues for meetings*Coordinate travel arrangements and subsistence
allowance.*Coordinate effective communication between the HOD/PC and personnel.*Effectively manage the documentation of
personnel in the department.*Manage the effective and professional production of documents.*Effectively manage the organizational and
implementation of all departmental activities*Perform other related duties as requested. Requirements: Grade 12 with appropriate
qualification in office administration*At least four years of relevant experience*Excellent verbal and written communication skills*Sound
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems*Proficiency in MS word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook: e-mail &
internet*Multilingual * English and one or more official languages.
