INTEGRATION OF SAVTA INTO THE SATA STRUCTURES

We are very pleased to announce that finalization has been reached whereby SAVTA is
now fully integrated into the SATA structures. This is applicable as from 01 January
2008.

I would like to thank everyone who was involved in this process for their valuable
contributions. I would also like to thank Mr Johann Koorts, President of SATA and Mr
Ian Smith, CEO of SATA for their positive input towards making the transition from an
associated membership to full affiliation so successful.

I would appeal to all our members to contribute to the success of tennis in South Africa
with enthusiasm. If we all work together then the enjoyment and success of tennis can
only prosper.

Please find attached a copy of the agreement reached between SAVTA and SATA and
kindly implement immediately.

Your full co-operation is requested.

With kind regards. Yours in tennis.

Bob Wenteler
CHAIRMAN
NATIONAL VETERANS COMMITTEE
                                     MESSAGE

TO: ALL VETERANS TENNIS MEMBERS

FROM: JOHANN KOORTS – PRESIDENT, SOUTH AFRICAN TENNIS
               ASSOCIATION

===============================================================

Not only has SAVTA as the Veterans organization played a major role in providing
continuity in our tennis participation through many dark times over the past 15 years, but
the members of SAVTA have also played a major role in the administration of the game
at various other levels. It is not difficult to see the influence and involvement of SAVTA
members in provincial- and other committees, participation in inter pro’s and even
running junior tournaments. One has just to visit any club in our country and you will
find them there as members and involved in the administration of the game. It is
therefore a privilege to have all this wealth of experience in administration and
participation at the disposal of our National Federation, and if we can generate the same
energy towards the development of the game and the introduction of the game to people
who were previously excluded from the same levels of involvement, I am of the opinion
that there cannot be any room for failure.

I am deeply indebted to Bob Wenteler and his SAVTA committee who have realised that
we are moving in a direction where everybody is to participate and joining our efforts can
only benefit the game as a whole, and for their vision and the frank and transparent way
in which the negotiations were conducted.

There is no doubt in my mind that the development of the game cannot succeed without
the co-operation of our SAVTA Members and I would like to take the opportunity to
invite each and everyone of you to really become a part of the bigger tennis family and to
assist with the same vigour as before. I sincerely hope that each member will become an
active and proud member of SATA and will pursue our common goals with the important
objective to give everybody an opportunity to participate on the level he/she chooses and
leave a well organized structure for our children and theirs to freely participate in.

Kind regards

Johann Koorts
PRESIDENT - SATA
