The agenda was confirmed and the following items were added under general.
         Plant Level Committee.
         Early Warning System

3. IMPACT STATEMENTS
The impact Statements were only submitted by Process Automation. Inso
Aluminium could not submit their impact statements due to computer theft at their
company hence they lost all WPC Information. Jan Requested Chris to E-mail all
WPC Folders .Chris mentioned to Jabu to make note and remind him to submit
     their Impact statements.

4. PROGRESS REPORTS

     4.1 INSO ALUMINIUM
Jan stated that the computer theft had set them back with regard to WPC reporting
.he was of the opinion that every thing will be running as normal in the next two
month, Phomolo interjected by saying had Inso filled their G.A. charts they could
have salvaged important information with regard to the programme.

Small Group Activity has been establish to focus on waste reduction. Business was
down for the last two month which affected staff morale and shop floor workers felt
insecure about their future employment with the company. Installers were already
on short time. He mentioned the new Accountant was committed to WPC
     Principles.

5s Activities were keeping the shop floor workers busy and innovation are on
upward trend. Chris advised that all employees should be formally informed about
the computer theft and be requested to come up with ideas or suggestion on how
to prevent theft from happening in again.

     4.2 CENTURION SYSTEMS
Jabu mentioned the Great Move resulted in them stopping all WPC activities. The
next coaching reviews will be conducted during the month of June and July. Dates
for July audits are to be confirmed. Durban and Cape town branches are starting to
implement WPC Principles especially Teamwork and Multi Skilling. Chris
mentioned about his recent coaching review at Cape Town Branch. He highlighted
the principles and ideology behind WPC to his Cape Town colleagues. He
believed the principle route was more impactful and his colleques started
     participating in innovation generation.
Jabu initiated weekly Leadership Training meeting with Heads of Administration
and the Factory. The training is starting to show results with Admin advancing on
their understanding of WPC concepts. Chris challenged managers to stop corridor
                                           -3-

talk and address real issues during meetings and mentioned that he is facilitating
      rotation of chairmanship amongst managers.

      4.3 PROCESS AUTOMATION
Fred reported that he conducted a 5S Internal Audit and realised that the
Managers were challenging the results when he gave them unfavourable scores.
He said during external Audits low score on 5S was a worrying trend. The reason
given by Managers was that he did not remind them of the Audits days. He felt
Process Automation was losing the ideas behind WPC. Chris advised him to throw
back the ball at Managers and pose such question as why did they decide to join
WPC, what are the benefits and what is the better way of implementing WCM
Principles. He also suggested he should get someone internally to assist him with
      rolling out of WPC programme.
Process Automation was also feeling the effects of global recession. They are
currently building up stock in hope of taking advantage of the competition once the
economy turns. They are still continuing with morning meeting. Phomolo advised
that it was important to keep on preaching WPC Principles so that people
eventually become converted. He gave an example of the Japanese workers, that
they literally sing Vision, Mission and Value Statements of their company every
      morning.

4. GENERAL
      5.1 PLC
Fred mentioned that they assigned manager chairing their weekly meeting as a
PLC representative to give to feedback to other PLC members. They had had two
meeting so far and it looks promising.

Jan and four of his Supervisors form part of their PLC.

Jabu stated that they did not have a PLC. The reason why they disbanded the
current PLC was that it was under represented .Once everything was in place they
will elect PLC members from management, Supervisors, Shop Floor and Union reps.
All agreed that characteristic of PLC member should include the following:
Confidence, Passionate and the Drive to implement WPC Principles and he/she
     must be impartial or neutral.

     5.2 Early Warning System
All agreed that they needed further explanation of the use and benefit of the Early
Warning Systems and how to apply it practically. Phomolo agreed to invite Social
Plan representative to present on the Early Warning Systems during the next
     Milestone Workshop.
