More Info
Instructions – please read this part first!

This business plan template has been designed for virtually any enterprise, irrespective of whether it is a
new start-up or a well-established operation.

Throughout the template, instructions on how to fill in the various sections will be provided in red (like the
part you are reading at the moment!) Obviously you should delete these instructions as you complete
each section until you are left with your final document. Be sure to consult with the various Wolftime
Community business plan guides which provide detailed guidelines for each section.

Don't be afraid to change, remove, or add sections that make sense for your business (for example, this
template does not include a section for appendices at the end – something you might very well include,
particularly if you are preparing a business plan to raise financing). Ultimately a template is just a good
guide, it is not the be-all and end-all.

Good luck with your business plan!

1. Purpose

Only include this section if you will be using your business plan to raise financing. If you do use this
section then bear in mind that it is a summary – you will be elaborating on these issues later in your plan
(it is worth referencing the sections where you will be going into these issues in more depth).

1.1 Reason for financing

Explain how much financing is required and what it is needed for with respect to your business strategy
and objectives.

1.2 Allocation of financing

Specify how you will use the financing that you require (i.e. what exactly you will spend the money on).

1.3 Repayment plan / return on investment

Discuss how you will pay back the financing if it is a loan or some other form of debt financing. If it is
equity financing, then detail the return on investment that your equity investors can expect.

1.4 Type of facility

Banks and other lenders will usually offer different types of financing packages. If you know which
facility you want then specify it here. It is also worth explaining why you want that particular package.

(e.g. home, bond, car, credit card account) as well as those of any partners. Most lenders will want to
see these to understand what surety exists for the financing that is required. You can simply delete this
part if you won't be using your business plan to raise financing.
