Cover Letter Sample 1 10/26/2009 Ms. Katherine Pryde Executive Director Art Foundation of Vineyard Hills 13 Vineyard Hills Boston, MA 02116 RE: Women’s Historical Art Program Dear Ms. Pryde, Hermod Art University would like to present to you this proposal for review. We look forward to partnering with you to provide a needed program to educate young women artists about the historical impact of women in the art world. The art world is an ever growing field and has significantly more men with a strong presence in both art and the historical aspects of art. Our program seeks to educate women not only about art, but to prepare them to create art that will cement their presence within the art world and begin a new direction in defining feminine art and its history. During the last year, we have been piloting the women’s historical art program and have noticed an increasing amount of women wanting to participate and present themselves as artist throughout their communities and the art industry. This program provides an in-depth education about the art industry, its historical aspects, and women’s presence throughout the art world in the current era and in the past, we are striving to open up a new direction for women to pursue their goals while utilizing the historical knowledge they will have gained through our program. Our proposal requests $21,000 in funding to obtain the software, hardware, and training necessary to equip the Hermod Art University Historical Art Department with textbooks and accompanying software to give an in-depth study of art history. The funding will also assist in providing various art equipments such as, canvas, brushes, pens, pencils, and various other tools in order to give an depth look at the art world. We appreciate The Art Foundation of Vineyard Hills taking an interest in helping our students develop their knowledge of the art world and truly start taking new steps in defining woman as artists! Please give me a call at 000-000-0000 EXT 000 if you require any further information or have any questions concerning this proposal. Thank you, Jennifer Martinique Historical Art Director Hermod Art University 333 and 4th Avenue, Salt Lake City, Utah 84115
