Advertisement 1. Indications 1. Emergent access to vasculature in 6 years or younger 2. Mechanism 1. Entry into marrow cavity 2. Allows rapid delivery into central access 3. Marrow cavity entered most easily 6 years and younger 3. Site 1. Flat anteromedial tibial surface 2. Landmark: 1-3 cm below tibial tuberosity 4. Complications (<1% of patients) 1. Tibial Fracture 2. Compartment Syndrome 3. Skin necrosis 4. Osteomyelitis
