  Programme Aims

          The programmes have the following aims:
      •    To provide an opportunity for students to develop a general grasp of
           business related knowledge in organisational management.
      •    To prepare students intellectually and practically for effective
           performance in their place of work / employment.
      •    To develop in students an understanding of the issues of management
           and business processes including the interrelationship between the
           core functional areas of an organisations, relative to particular sectors
           whether public or private.
      •    To develop specialised knowledge in a particular field of business such
           as marketing, management, corporate communications etc. to enable
           students to assume greater specialisation in their place of employment.
      •    To develop an awareness of the problems confronted by organisations
           and businesses and to equip them with the means to solve problems.

  Assessment:
  For every module the assessment will be as follows:
  1) Coursework
  2) Final Examination
GRADING STRUCTURE AND AWARDS:
 Students will be awarded the following::

         a) A Diploma in Higher Education in their chosen pathways if they had
         completed 240 credit points of Level 1 and 2 of the programme.

         b) A BA (Hons ) in their chosen pathways upon successful completion
         of the full requirements of 370 credit points which is inclusive of the
         Research Project..

Prospects:

The broad aim therefore is to develop graduates with a range of knowledge and
skills directly relevant to the working environment and to cater to the interests of
students wishing to specialise in a specific functional area in Management,
Marketing, Corporate Communications etc. Graduates will be expected to have
skills of analysis, critical thinking, self-management and the personal and
interpersonal skills required for effective research so that they can swiftly transfer
their knowledge and understanding of general management and specific
disciplines such as marketing or management practices and their applications to
the workplace.
