                              SIXTH FORM ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The majority of places in the Sixth Form are allocated to Woodford girls who meet the
admission criteria.

At Woodford, all students are expected to study four AS level subjects in Year 12. Students go
on to take the A2 programme in 3 or 4 of these, leading to full A level qualifications by the end
of Year 13. The AS level subjects on offer are listed below. All students, who must be of
statutory school age and living in the UK with parents who have a right of abode, must meet the
basic entry requirements of 6 A*-C grades, including English, Mathematics, Science and a
Modern Foreign Language (defined as ‘an official language of the EU’). Candidates are usually
required to gain a grade A in the subject to be studied at A Level (or in a related subject – see
subject specific information).

No applications will be considered after the published deadline for applications.

Where there are more external applicants than places available, places will be offered in
accordance with the Local Authority’s criteria (N.B. there is no named Partner School).

                                                   Redbridge.gov.uk website

It should be noted that there is a high level of demand for some subjects. Numbers are limited
by the availability of accommodation. It may not always be possible to make an offer of a place
for the subject(s) requested.

After offers of places have been made, a student’s name can be placed on the waiting list and if
a place becomes available it will be allocated according to the above criteria.

Admission number for external candidates: 16 (this can be exceeded if courses are
available).
