Section VII - Precautions for Safe Handling/Use
__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
STORAGE TEMPERATURE: Maximum: 38 C/100°F. Store in a dry-shaded, well-ventilated indoor area. DO NOT allow to become wet or overheated in storage because decomposition, impaired activity and fire may result. Fire can occur in closely packed, unventilated piles of bags. Provide plenty of ventilation to prevent decomposition and to dissipate heat. Store bags on pallets with a density no greater than 2x2x2 meters. Provide access aisles between each two rows of pallets. Check for signs of decomposition: foul odor and warm bags. If detected, immediately remove to an open area for disposal. PERSONAL PROTECTIONS AND CONTROL MEASURES: VENTILATION: Mechanical local exhaust at point of contaminant release. RESPIRATORY PROTECTION: Wear suitable respirator (MSHA/NIOSH-approved or equivalent) where exposure limits are exceeded. PROTECTIVE GLOVES: Impervious EYE PROTECTION: Safety Glasses OTHER PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Eyewash facility, emergency shower. Workers should be furnished clean outer clothing and required to shower at the end of each shift.
Section VIII - Environmental and Disposal Information

SPILL OR LEAK PROCEDURES: Scoop or shovel solid material into a suitable container for recovery or disposal. Keep dust to a minimum. Flush cleaned area with water to a contaminated (chemical) sewer. Remove contaminated clothing promptly and wash affected skin area with soap and water. Thoroughly launder clothing before reuse. DO NOT take clothing home to be laundered. Keep spills and cleaning runoffs out of municipal sewers and open bodies of water. WASTE DISPOSAL METHODS: When discarded, this material is a hazardous waste: RCRA #U-114; reportable quantity 5,000 lbs. (40 CFR Part 302) "Superfund". Incinerate in approved equipment in accordance with local, state and federal regulations. CONTAINER DISPOSAL: Triple rinse (or equivalent) or puncture and dispose of in accordance with federal, state and local regulations.
