Windows LiveWriter
Step-by-Step Instructions
These are instructions to post to your TradingMetro blog using Windows LiveWriter.
Why Windows LiveWriter (WLW)?
You don’t have to login to your blog each time in order to post to it. WLW is a download and
installation to your computer that allows you to compose blog posts without having to be
connected to the Internet. As a free Microsoft product it acts like a Microsoft Word document.

1. Download WLW at: http://windowslivewriter.spaces.live.com/
2. Install WLW software according to instructions on WLW website.
3. Open WLW by clicking on the icon.
4. When opened select “Other Blog Service.”

Step-by-Step Instructions
5. To follow through on this next step you will
need to ensure that you have created a blog
already at TradingMetro. You will need you
a) Blog URL,
b) TradingMetro username, and
c) TradingMetro password.
If you do not have a TradingMetro blog, login
to your TradingMetro account, and in the grey
bar at the top of your screen click on “My
Blogs” then “Create a Blog.”
6. After 1 – 3 minutes your blog should be set up
with WLW. Pick a blog Nickname that will
allow you to recognize your TradingMetro blog
easily in WLW. No one else will see what you
use as a blog nickname. Click “Finish.”

Final Step!
7. Now when you start up WLW
it should look like the picture to
the right. Once you use WLW a
handful of times you should get
the hang of it.
The most important parts are
the:
- Under “View” uncheck “Edit
using theme.”
-Publish button: in the top left
corner.
-- Title line and body of the post
in the middle.
-- Set Categories: in the bottom
left corner. You have the option
of categorizing your posts for
easier search functionality by
your readers.
