   HCC (Healthcare Conferences) was launched in February 2003 by Managing Director Gavin Johnstone.

Caring with Confidence is a new, free programme to help make a positive difference to carers and the people they care
for, by improving their health and well-being.

Funded by the Department of Health, Caring with Confidence provides support for carers in England accessible
through free local group sessions, self-study workbooks and online, where carers can learn skills, get advice and
information, talk and share experiences.

EPP CIC is launching an adapted self-management course for people with learning difficulties who also have a long-
term health condition. It has a number of key adjustments, including altered content, longer course length to allow for
appropriate pace and additional support during sessions and a supporting DVD.

EPP CIC are also launching Self Care for You (SC4U), a six-week community-based course delivered by health
trainers, allied health professionals and trained volunteers looking at diet, exercise, emotional wellbeing as well as how
to deal with minor ailments, thereby potentially reducing visits to GPs.

On-line is a new internet-accessed self-management course for people who live with any long-term condition(s) and is
particularly useful for those who have difficulty getting out of the house or live in rural areas.
