THE WHEELS OF JUSTICE TURN SLOWLY: HOMICIDE CHARGES LOOMING FOR CASEY ANTHONY
Finally! A grand jury will convene on Tuesday, October 14, to hear evidence and then to decide if murder charges against Casey Anthony, for the death of her daughter Caylee Marie Anthony, are warranted. Finally. I never doubted that the skilled and experienced detectives in the case were slowly building a murder case against Casey Anthony. I never doubted that each day that passed without movement in this case probably meant that a lot was going on behind the scenes that us case watchers weren’t privy to. Now we know that the detectives and prosecutors feel they have enough evidence to take Casey to trial. Not for neglect. But for murder. I don’t know what Casey’s major malfunction is. I do know that it appears that her family has some huge dysfunctional issues. I’d like to hear my readers’ views on this. What do you think? Why is the Anthony family so dysfunctional? What would possess a middle-class young mother who was living with her parents, who obviously loved their grandchild, to kill her own offspring? What is wrong with this family? Do you think that family dysfunction will be a mitigating factor in this case, in the eyes of the jury? I can’t help but feel that there are some missing pieces to this puzzle. I think that Caylee’s paternity is a piece that must be answered. There are some rumors of incest, molestation, abuse and such going around the internet. I won’t validate those rumors by posting them here. What do you, the readers, think? All questions and comments should be emailed to: Quickattack15@gmail.com. Your personal information will always remain confidential, and will never be printed in the Daily News. All I ask is that you include your first name and city/state or residence. That’s how we’ll identify you in the Readers Sound Off column. The Readers Sound Off column will appear on Fridays.
PROSECUTORS RELEASE VIDEOS, DOCUMENTS RELATED TO FRAUD CHARGES AGAINST CASEY ANTHONY
On Wednesday, prosecutors released over 400 pages of documents and several videos related to the fraud and identity theft charges against Casey Anthony. Casey Anthony used Amy Huizenga’s checks to buy clothes, beer, lingerie, and toiletries at Target and Winn Dixie. Anthony purchased the “82 hoodie” that she was wearing when she was arrested, and she also purchased the white sunglasses that she’s frequently seen wearing when she visits her attorney or case worker. Most importantly, the video shows that Casey bought no items for a toddler. More than likely, she had already dumped the body of her daughter by the time she went on her shopping spree. She also cashed one of Huizenga’s checks at Bank of America. In the videos, she doesn’t even flinch as she signs the checks. Cool as a cucumber. The documents include photocopies of Huizenga’s checks that Anthony passed to various retail stores, as well as Huizenga’s hand-written complaint of Casey Anthony.

JOSE BAEZ COMES OUT SWINGING: ATTACKS GRAND JURY, INVESTIGATORS, PROSECUTORS, AND MEDIA ON “TODAY” SHOW
Casey Anthony’s attorney Jose Baez appeared on the “Today” show this morning. Interviewed by Meredith Viera, Baez was his usual offensive self. Baez attacked investigators for failing to search for a living Caylee. He said, “They've given up on this child a long time ago without any evidence that she's deceased.” He took a few swings at prosecutors, too, and accused them of leaking information about his client to taint the jury pool. About the media, Baez blamed them for placing so much attention on this case that Casey Anthony has been precluded from searching for her daughter. And the grand jury took a couple of blows from Baez, who claimed that “it’s a one-sided proceeding” that favors the prosecutor. Aware of the possibility of future homicide charges against his client, Baez stated, “I can't comment on what the future holds...we have been prepared for the worst and hoping for the best.”
THE DAILY VICTIM: WOMAN AND ST. BERNARD DOG
Some of the protestors at the Anthony family’s (sounds like the Adam’s Family—and just as creepy) home have been stupid. But this woman sat peacefully with her St. Bernard, when Casey’s brother Lee Anthony went on a rampage, breaking her sign, and tossing the dog’s water bowl. Lee looks like a major douche and a wimp in this video. If you haven’t seen it, you must. It’s linked below the photo.
THE MOST SENSIBLE THING THAT LEONARD PADILLA HAS SAID: CELL PHONE PINGS BETWEEN ANTHONY HOME AND AIRPORT MIGHT INDICATE CAYLEE’S LOCATION
Last night on Nancy Grace, Leonard Padilla discussed cell phone pings from Casey Anthony’s phone, which places her somewhere on Narcosee Road on June 27, the day she abandoned her car at Amscot. I think that Padilla, for once, is onto something. I think that Caylee’s body was dumped somewhere in the vicinity of Narcosee Road. If you look at Google maps, satellite view, the roadway is surrounded by wooded, swampy areas. Let’s hope that Equusearch looks in this area when they return next week.
THE DAILY PHOTO
Another favorite photo of Caylee. This beautiful child deserved so much more.
