Namib Desert & Sossusvlei Excursion
This Safari option includes two nights in one of Namibia’s most picturesque areas, the Namib Desert. A Guided excursion will be included into the Namib Naukluft Park in safari vehicles to the Sossusvlei Dune Belt with some of the highest sand dunes in the world. This excursion is based on a minimum of 2 guests. Day 1 Departure from Windhoek, Eros Airport is at 08h30 for your seat on a charter flight to the southern Namib Region and the Namib Naukluft Park. Midday arrival at the Sossusvlei Lodge including lunch. This Lodge uniquely crouches almost unnoticed in a vast ocean of unparalleled desert beauty. Shaded by Camel Thorn Trees, the Sossusvlei Lodge is a testament to the ingenuity of an eco-friendly design. Adobe walls are shaded by canvas roofs, almost Berber-like in their shading of the cool slate floors within. Shake off the desert dust with an ice-cold local lager-on tap in the Bushmen painted bar. With passing parades of Springbok, Oryx antelope and Cape fox, it is surely one of the most unique sites…. In all Africa.” The remainder of the afternoon will be at leisure to conduct optional extra nature drive activities on the property and taking in the desert scenery with its unique fauna and flora. This is not a game rich area due to the harsh environment, however, what game is seen is interesting and dramatized by the contrast between desert and the magnificent animals like Springbok, Oryx and Ostrich who survive and eke out an existence on these arid plains. Overnight accommodation will be at the Sossusvlei Lodge including lunch, dinner and breakfast. Day 2 Participate in an early morning guided excursion into the Namib Naukluft Park to the Namib "Sand Sea" and the Sossusvlei Dune belt. Sossusvlei is a word from Nama descent, which directly translated means a place with many endings. Many visitors to Namibia say that no part of the desert is more stunning than Sossusvlei, with its monumentally high dunes, the shadows of their sinuous crests continually changing as the day waxes and wanes. Gigantic star-shaped mountains of sand, the highest estimated at 325 m. The warm tints of the sand, ranging from pale apricot to brick orange and deep red, contrast vividly with the dazzling white surfaces of the deflationary clay pans at some of their bases. By midday return to the lodge for lunch and some time at leisure. The remainder of the afternoon can either be spent relaxing at the pool or participating in optional extra activities. Overnight accommodation will be at the Sossusvlei Lodge including lunch, dinner and breakfast. Day 3 Today’s scheduled departure from the Sossusvlei Lodge is at 12h00, returning to Windhoek on a seat on a charter basis. Scheduled arrival at Windhoek, Eros Airport is at 13h30 where the safari terminates. End of Tour Rate per person sharing Single supplement Including: *Return Seat on a charter flight basis from the Windhoek, Eros Airport *Accommodation on a FB basis *Guided morning excursion to Sossusvlei *Park entrance on scheduled excursions *15% VAT N$ 5 700.00 N$ 950.00 Excluding: *Any items of a personal nature i.e. telephone & laundry *Beverages & additional meals *Additional excursions & activities *Gratuities *Personal Travel Insurance

Sidewalk cafes offering Namibian style breakfasts (Fruhschoppen) which can be enjoyed with a glass of sparkling wine or locally brewed draught beer. In addition to steak houses and coffee bars serving snacks, the city has a wide range of a la carte restaurants offering German, French, Taiwanese, Portuguese, Italian, African and Chinese cuisine.
