RULES, REGULATIONS AND CONDITIONS
(YOU ARE REQUESTED TO READ THESE CAREFULLY AND NOTE)
1. The school timing is from 7.40 a.m. to 1 p.m. except Fridays when the school breaks at 11.50 a.m. Extra curricular Activities and Tutorials are held from 1.45 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. (Mondays to Thursdays). 2. The school cannot assume responsibility for any child left after 1.00 p.m. In the event of unavoidable delay in collecting a child, the school should be requested to make special arrangement to look after the child at the parent’s risk. 3. School uniform is compulsory. Headscarf is part of the uniform for girls of Year 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. Pupils must be in their uniforms at school and while representing the school at functions held outside the school. 4. Pupils must either be Kenya citizens or bonafide residents of Kenya. Photocopies of documentary evidence to this effect to be attached to the applications. 5. Fees are payable termly in advance by the end of the second week of each term. Non-refundable admission fee must be paid together with the tuition fee for the first term. The Board reserves the right to revise the fees as and when found necessary. 6. A full terms notice is required in writing for a withdrawal of a child from the school. Failure to do this will necessitate payment of one terms fees in lieu of notice. 7. The teaching staffs are qualified and experienced and parents are encouraged to keep in touch with them concerning their child’s progress with prior appointments. 8. Transfer from class to class is generally automatic every September except in exceptional circumstances where it is felt that a child’s progress academically is not satisfactory enough to let him/her move up. 9. Neither the K.S.I. Education Board nor other employees/agent shall be responsible for any accident (and all the consequences arising thereof) within or outside the school premises including during the period/s when they are engaged in sporting activities or are on visits/picnics/outings/ expeditions/excursions e.t.c. within or outside Mombasa and when they are in the course of making use of other means of transports at school or premises during and outside school hours. 10. Should pupils meet with an accident or mishap and be injured at any time their Parents/Guardians hereby authorize the Head teacher and/or the teachers and/or other employees/agents to give or arrange to be given to them such medical/surgical treatment/sin their opinion to be necessary under such circumstance/s and hereby absolve them from all consequences arising therefore and also hereby undertake to be responsible for all the expenses so incurred. 11. Neither the Board nor the teachers nor other employees/agents shall be responsible for any loss or damage to the articles of the pupils whether in or outside the school premises. 12. For preventive measures, the Board reserves the right to institute periodical medical check-ups of any or all pupils. The Parent/Guardian hereby authorize the Board to carry out such check-ups. 13. And hereby accept to pay the costs for the same and undertake to arrange for the necessary treatment to be given to their child/ward as recommended in the medical report. 14. Signing an application form and/or admission letter bearing the above terms by Parents/Guardian (or other acting on their behalf) will be taken as an as acceptance by Parents of pupils of these terms in the event of enrolment of son/daughter/ward in the school. 15. Students must obey all disciplinary rules to be issued from time to time by the Authorities. Any student found guilty of gross misbehaviour of insubordination or damaging of school’s property will be suspended/expelled and his/her parents/guardians shall be required to pay the cost of repairs/replacement of the property.
