Proactive lead generation - responsible for supporting and conducting business development communications by telephone and email; also monitoring and responding to press opportunities. Research of the organisations you arrange meetings with, preparing presentation materials as required and briefing meeting attendees. Ownership of the prospect database (Salesforce), updating and storing prospect contact history using the system to ensure that all new business and website activity is co-ordinated appropriately. Foster excellent working relationships with the internal teams, to share information and ensure continued awareness of the performance of the sales process as part of a wider new business team. Work in conjunction with the new business team to define, shape and evolve the future new business strategy. 2. 3. 4. 5. Profile: 1. 2. Degree educated with a sound academic background, ideally related to marketing services and/or business communications. Experience of consultative business development, specifically dealing with senior level decision makers. Or a genuine understanding of new business and a passion to develop your career within this challenging sector. A genuine desire to pursue a career in creative and consultative sales. As such you recognize that new business requires a determined and robust working attitude, ability to self motivate and be consistently proactive. You will be confident, have excellent communication skills (particularly written), be highly organised and able to work autonomously. Superb attention to detail and organisational skills, ability to manage own time effectively and make assertive and intelligent decisions. Build relationships with all members of the internal team to understand current/forthcoming projects and using this knowledge to ensure all collateral is up to date and integrated into the sales strategy. 3. 4. 5. 6.
