26th Annual Charity Sponsor Cycle Ride 4th / 5th July 2009

Preparations 1. Congratulations you are a successful entry for this years 26th Anniversary Charity Sponsor Cyclocruze Ride around the Isle of Wight. Firstly please start collecting sponsorship for these worthy Charities as soon as possible to help make it our best ever collection yet! If you do not collect any donations you will be asked to make a donation to the charity collection. 2. Bring your Sleeping Bags, Spare Clothes etc. to the Pub on Friday 3rd July prior to 21:00 hrs in order that they are loaded onto the Van, that will travelling to the Island prior to your arrival at Nodes Point Holiday Village, St Helens on Saturday Evening. 3. We will be meeting at 07:00 hrs on Saturday morning at the Rear of the Lord Nelson for a roll-call, collect route guides & then onwards to the Ferry. Ferry Bar will be open for early morning Coffee etc. 4. Your T-Shirt/s can be collected on Friday at the Lord Nelson or it will be given to you on the morning of the ride. Fancy Dress is Optional this year so if you and your fellow riders wish to dress up, please do so but remember you have to be able to cycle in your costume safely. 5. Accommodation for your overnight stay can be accomplished one of three ways: (a) Bed & Breakfast in the St Helens/Bembridge area. (b) Camping in your small Tent (put it in the Van on Friday!) at Nodes Point Holiday Village, St Helens”. (c) There are a couple of Hotels in Seaview if that takes your fancy. IF CAMPING IS YOUR CHOICE, PLEASE MAKE SURE THE ORGANISERS KNOW, THE HOLIDAY CAMP NEEDS TO KNOW NUMBERS AND NAMES, THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR CAMPING. 6. There is a Breakfast Stop at the Red Lion in Freshwater at approx 10:30 on Saturday 4th July and also a Breakfast at approx 08:30 at “The Vine” in St Helens on Sunday 5th July this Year. You should have indicated your requirements for your Breakfasts on the Application Form. PLEASE NOTE: FOOD IS AVAILABLE AT THE VINE ON SATURDAY EVENING, BUT ONLY UNTIL 9.00PM (SO IF YOU ARE LATE ARRIVING, WE SUGGEST YOU MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS FOR NOURISHMENT!). 7. Please ensure that you & your Cycle are fit for the Ride & also make sure you have a Protective Cycle Helmet that fits properly. Cycle Mitts will also be a bonus to the stop the possibility of blisters. Some would say cycle shorts are a must! 8. STOP-PRESS: If you know of anyone else who wishes to enter, remember to tell them about the early entry fee of £25.00. IT’S £40 ENTRY FEE AFTER 6TH JUNE 2009.
