Corporate Matching Gifts Corporate matching gifts are a great way for Hadassah Members, Associates and friends to maximize their personal contribution to the organization and increase the impact of their gift. Aetna Foundation, Costco, Charles Schwab, Federated Department Stores, Merrill Lynch, Computer Associates and Pfizer are just a few of the companies that currently match or double match contributions to Hadassah. On our website is a list of some of the companies that provide matching gifts http:// www.baltimore.hadassah.org/site/pp.asp?c=ceIMLROnGlF&b=2283107 or email fundraising.baltimore@hadassah.org for more information. If your company is not on the list, contact the company's Personnel Office to determine whether they participate and how to get started. Or, call the National Grassroots Fundraising Department (866-229-2395) and they will initiate a contact. Every company has its own guidelines but the procedure is simple: • Request a matching gifts form from the company • Complete the form and send it with the contribution to: Hadassah of Greater Baltimore • Hadassah will verify the form and return it to the company • The company issues a matching gift contribution to Hadassah and Baltimore Chapter receives full Quota credit. This is an excellent way to broaden Hadassah's base of support by bringing in contributions from outside of Hadassah.

Did you know? HADASSAH CONDEMNS TODAY’S TERRORIST ATTACK IN JERUSALEM – Three of the victims treated at Hadassah Ein-Kerem (New York, NY – March 6, 2008) – Hadassah condemns today’s terrorist attack in Jerusalem, in which a Palestinian armed with a rifle opened fire inside "Merkaz Harav" Yeshiva where some 80 people were gathered to celebrate the first day of the month of Adar. Eight students were killed and, of the ten injured, three were transported to Hadassah Ein-Kerem. In response to early reports of multiple terrorists and mass casualties, Hadassah Ein-Kerem was prepared for a full mass casualty event. Physicians and staff were on high alert, with department heads and senior physicians returning to the hospital to provide the wounded with the best possible care. The three students, one of whom was injured in the legs, and the other two with extensive damage to many areas of their bodies, were treated in the trauma unit. They since have been relocated to the general intensive care unit, where their families are with them, and they are reported to be doing well. In the wake of this horrible attack, Hadassah extends its heartfelt prayers and thoughts to the victims and the families of those wounded and killed and wish all the wounded a full and rapid recovery. Announcements Get Well to: Ellen Helfman Jules Katz Condolences to: Laurel Sereboff on the loss of her brother Dr. Joel Portnoy Shabbat Shalom,
