Club Properties  Club Hut in Glen Etive  Club Cottage in Torridon The hut is available for use by other clubs by arrangement. The Cottage is for the exclusive use of Members and their guests. Membership Membership is by application and approval by the Club Council. The annual subscription is £20. Day Meets The Club arranges Day Meets every month, usually on the third weekend, Saturday or Sunday. On Day Meets a bus takes members to the chosen area. The Meet Secretary organises those participating into parties of 2, 3,4 or 5 members of broadly similar ability and who wish to do a similar route. Party leaders are appointed and seek to ensure that, among other things, the party gets back the bus back on time. Where time allows an evening meal is taken at a suitable hotel or restaurant. The cost of a Day Meet varies with venue; dependant on whether members are signed up for the "special" bus deal and whether there is a meal. Weekend Meets Weekend meets are arranged for the Dundee Spring, May & Autumn holiday weekends. Accommodation is in hotels, hostels, bunkhouses, and campsites. Rock Climbing During the spring and summer months informal rock climbing groups meet one evening each week and head for local crags.

Indoor Meets From September to May The Club meets on the first Thursday of the month at 8pm at the Discovery Point premises in Dundee. A guest speaker usually gives an illustrated talk. Annual Lecture Each year The Club arranges a lecture in Dundee on the theme of mountaineering and invites a suitable speaker. The lecture is open to the public. Annual Social Function A formal Dinner/Dance or Dinner is held each year for Members and their guests. Equipment on Meets All persons attending Grampian Club Meets are expected to be properly equipped for the conditions. Boots and waterproof clothing are essential, as are a map, compass, whistle, food, spare clothing and a survival bag. In winter, an ice axe and crampons and a torch must be carried. A complete change of clothing should be left on the bus. Skills Mountaineering is a dangerous activity. New members are encouraged to acquire the skills required to participate safely in the activities they wish to undertake. Responsibility Members are responsible for themselves and for their own actions when taking part in club activities. The club is not responsible for the safety of members or their guests. How to Join You are warmly invited to come, in the first instance, to one of the Indoor Meets held on the first Thursday of the month (Sept to May) at 8.00pm at Discovery Point Dundee, where you can meet members and complete an application form and arrange to attend a Day Meet. If you cannot get to an Indoor Meet, please complete this application form and send it to the Club Secretary who will send you details of the Club events and how to contact the Meet Secretary. All persons wishing to join come out on a Day Meet as guest of The Club and normally will be in a party with their sponsoring member. Alternatively, the Meet Secretary will make arrangements for them to join an appropriate party. Prospective members/guests should note that because of MCoS Insurances rules guests may attend only one Day Meet. Prospective members and guests are NOT permitted to turn up ‘on spec’ at a Day Meet. …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………cu
