Holiday Safety Expo
The Installation Safety Office will host a Holiday Safety Expo from 10001600 on 25 November in the FS Motorcycle Training Lot adjacent to building 162. This event will kick off DUI prevention month and the focus will be safety awareness for POV/ Motorcycles. There will also be a Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) presentation, fire prevention info, weapons safety info and pet & toy safety info. Soldiers, Family members & civilians are encouraged to attend. Safety is the light… Let it shine during this 40 day holiday period!

Join MWR for a fun-filled holiday celebration! The 2008 Christmas Tree Lighting will be held at 1830 on 4 Dec at Club Stewart and 1830 on 8 Dec at Hunter Club. The tree lighting will be held outdoors and will be followed by caroling & Santa’s arrival! Horse drawn carriage The festivities will continue inside the club and will rides will also be offered. Trees for Troops
The Christmas Spirit Foundation and FedEX Inc. are proud to sponsor Trees for Troops! Ft. Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield will be giving away free Christmas trees to Active duty military and their Families. Eligible Families will receive one free tree per Family during this special offer. Soldiers and Families may pick up a tree from 0900-1800 on 4, 5, 6 & 8 Dec at the Leisure Activities Center on Ft. Stewart and from 0900-1800 on 4, 5, 6 & 8 Dec at Bldg. 1288 on HAAF. The trees will be given away on a first-come, firstserve basis. For more information call 767-2841.

Sponsor a Wreath at Warriors Walk
Honor a fallen Soldier this holiday season by sponsoring a wreath for Warriors Walk! The goal of Wreaths for Warriors Walk is to place a Christmas wreath at each tree located at Ft. Stewart’s Warriors Walk. In coordination with Wreaths Across America (WAA) this will be the second year Ft. Stewart has taken part in this event. For years, Wreaths Across America has donated and placed wreaths in Arlington Cemetery to honor our countries fallen Soldiers. The cost to sponsor one wreath is $15.00 and you can pay online using PayPal and the email address wreaths4warriorswalk@yahoo.com Your support and sponsorship of a wreath is needed to help make this a possible and to help decorate Warriors Walk. To view pictures from last years event and to learn how you can sponsor a wreath please visit www.w4ww.org. The cost to sponsor a single wreath is $15.00 or you can sponsor multiple wreaths. Payments will be accepted online through PayPal or you can mail in a check made out to: Help honor our fallen Soldiers by sponsoring a wreath this holiday season. Hilton Head Christmas Shopping Trip
Do you still have some Christmas presents to buy and would like to go somewhere new & different to finish your shopping? Take a day trip to Hilton Head, SC with Leisure Travel for their Christmas Shopping Trip! Shoppers will visit the Hilton Head Tanger Outlet centers on 19 December to enjoy a full day of shopping. FRG Leader Training @ HAAF
Are you a new FRG Leader? If so then the FRG Leader Training course on HAAF is for you! Visit the New Gannem Community Center on 6 Dec from 1030-1430 for this informative class! Designed to equip new FRG Leaders with the necessary knowledge and ability to do their job, this class is also open to seasoned FRG Leaders as a refresher. Presentation topics include program overview, FRG organization, FRG structure, FRG leader roles, resources, fundraising, and recruiting & managing volunteers. Please bring a lunch. Super Super Saturday Bingo Special @ HAAF

Come join the festivities and fun on Friday, 5 December at the 12th Annual Liberty County Illuminated Christmas Parade! The parade will begin at 1830. The parade route will start at General Screven to Hendry St. to Main St. to Memorial Dr. and back to Bradwell Institute. The parade will also be televised by WTOC, Channel 11. Visit Bradwell Park in Downtown Hinesville on Monday, 1 Dec from 1700-2100 for Christmas in the Park! The festivities will include free children’s activities, pictures with Santa, live Reindeer display, decorate an ornament workshop, popcorn & balloons, cookies & hot chocolate, Christmas tree lighting, holiday music, decorate a cookie workshop, Christmas stories & more! Pictures with Santa are limited to the first 200 photos and the ornament workshop is limited to the first 300 children.

Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run
It’s not too late to sign up for the Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run! Participants are encouraged to “Run, Walk, or Crawl” the length of Historic Savannah’s Talmadge Memorial Bridge on 6 December! The mission of the Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run is to create an enjoyable fitness opportunity for the people of Savannah and surrounding communities. All are encouraged to try to conquer “The South’s Toughest Bridge Run” by either walking or running in the 5K, 10K, or “Double Pump”! The Talmadge Memorial Bridge spans 1.4 miles over the Savannah River peaking at 196 feet with a 5.5% grade. The Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run is one of the fastest growing running events in the Southeast and reached a record 3,500 participants in 2007. The event has been featured by Bart Yasso of Runner’s World Magazine as the “Race of the Month” and was recently named “Best-Kept Secret” by Bart in his book, MY LIFE ON THE RUN.
