2009 LIGHT UP LAPEER!
Each year the Chamber of Commerce asks local businesses to help us raise the necessary funds to decorate our downtown area for the holiday season, to be able to bring Santa downtown for the kids in the community and to organize our annual Christmas Parade. It takes thousands of lights to decorate the light poles from Main Street in front of Rite Aid on Main Street, downtown on Nepessing, Saginaw and Cedar Streets. In addition, hundreds of strands are needed to decorate the tree on the Courthouse lawn. Show casing our community and downtown with holiday glow and ambiance that is reminiscent of the spirit and joy of the season is important to our entire community. It attracts people to the downtown area to see the lights and the beauty of the historic Courthouse during the holiday season. Some bring their kids to see Santa. Many are frequenting our retail establishments, restaurants, gas stations, etc. while here making that evening a special family event. Please help the Chamber keep the Spirit of the Holidays alive and continue this community tradition with your contribution. The schedule below is meant to serve as a guide for your consideration. Your gift in any amount is appreciated. All contributors will receive a personal “Thank You” and recognition in the Chamber Newsletter and LA View. $400 + Angels $250 - $399 Santa $150 - $249 Reindeer $51 - $149 $25 - $50 Elves Tiny Tim

Along with the letter you received a copy of your member contact information. This is your company contact information as it appears in our database, on our website, and will appear in the 2010 directory. The membership directory is another way we make sure our members are visible throughout Lapeer County and beyond. 5,000 of these directories are distributed throughout the county, mailed to new residents and distributed through our hotels, library, banks, credit unions, etc. This handy guide lists your company both alphabetically and categorically. It also contains local community information including Churches, Private and Public Schools, Sports and recreation offered throughout Lapeer County, calendar of community events and more.
