Craig David returns to the Royal Albert Hall. Since his phenomenal debut in 2000 he has gone from strength to strength. At the age of 18, he became the youngest ever-British male to go to Number 1 with „Fill Me In‟. This was closely followed by his debut album „Born To Do It‟ which has now sold over 7 million copies worldwide. He has been honoured by his peers as well as by musical icons such as Elton John and U2‟s Bono. He has also received a record six MOBO Award nominations. His second album „Slicker Than Your Average‟ was released at the end of 2002 and already has produced two hit singles „What‟s Your Flava?‟ and „Hidden Agenda‟, building on his popularity and success and demonstrating the versatility of his music. Night of 1000 Voices (2003) Sunday 4 May Hosted by Glenn Close and Roger Moore CBE Since 1999, The Night of 1000 Voices has delighted four capacity audiences at the Royal Albert Hall. This year‟s event celebrates the multi-award-winning productions of Trevor Nunn including 'Les Miserables', 'My Fair Lady', and 'Oklahoma'. Some very special stars from The West End, Broadway and Europe, a huge 'Sing Live' massed choir, 75 children from the Sylvia Young Theatre School and The City of London Philharmonic will perform in this musical night to remember. In 2003, The Night of 1000 Voices will again support The Alan Jay Lerner Fund for Cancer Research at The Royal Marsden Hospital and this year's main beneficiary will be the Variety Club of Great Britain. Ballet Stars of St Petersburg Wednesday 7, Thursday 8 May

A ballet spectacular featuring soloists of the Mariinsky Ballet. Including Irma Nioradze (pictured), Yulia Makhalina, Daria Pavlenko, Elvira Tarasova, Igor Zelensky, Farukh Ruzimatov, Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Ilya Kuznetsov and Andrei Batalov. The artists are accompanied by a corps de ballet from the Mariinsky Ballet and by the Russian Orchestra of London. The programme includes highlights from 'Manon', 'Corsaire', 'Sleeping Beauty', 'Swan Lake', 'Sheherezade' and 'La Bayadere'. It will also feature the Western premiere of 'Madam Askanelli', a ballet by choreographer Kirill Simonov, creator of the Mariinsky's latest 'Nutcracker'.

Michael McDonald Friday 9 May

Owning one of the most recognisable voices in music today, Michael McDonald has created and performed on some of the most influential records of our time. His recordings include hits with the Doobie Brothers such as “What a Fool Believes”, “Minute by Minute” and “‟Takin‟ it to the Streets” and acclaimed solo recordings “On My Own” and “I Keep Forgetting”. He has also made many guest appearances on recordings with Quincy Jones, Steely Dan, Patti LaBelle and James Ingram among others.

The tremendous response to the first London Men's Convention last year has led it to seek a larger venue in the Royal Albert Hall. Thousands of choral enthusiasts from all over Britain and many other countries will fill the Royal Albert Hall with song for this unique event. Under the inspired leadership of Sir David Willcocks, members of The Really Big Chorus will join together with the English Festival Orchestra and three prize-winning young soloists, Elizabeth Atherton, Christopher Steele and Rodney Clarke, to perform Haydn‟s greatest choral masterpiece. The performance is preceded by a choral masterclass, demonstrating Sir David‟s legendary rapport with singers of all ages and standards. The annual classical music extravaganza, the Cathcart Spring Proms, returns to the Hall. Presented by Angela Rippon, this atmospheric production combines the traditional proms classics with a tribute to the Queen Mother's life and times. The programme includes „Zadok the Priest‟, „Jerusalem‟ and „Pomp & Circumstance‟. As well as world premieres of „Pas de Deux Double Concerto‟ based on favourite Tchaikovsky ballets, a specially commissioned medley spanning the 1920's, 40's, 60's and 80's with a medley of Abba anthems and the winning work by the Cathcart Young Composer of the Year. The highlight will be the Queen's personal piper presenting his own moving tribute. The Classical BRIT Awards 2003 takes place in the opulent surroundings of the Royal Albert Hall. Now in its fourth year, the glittering gala event gives its audience the unique opportunity to see many of the world's finest classical musicians performing under one roof. The Classical BRIT Awards has become the annual jewel in the classical music crown, with performances from the creme de la creme of the classical music world, attracting sellout audiences and widespread media interest. The awards were established in 2000 to recognise the outstanding achievements of classical musicians and the growth of classical music sales in the UK and around the world. Previous performers include violin virtuoso, Kennedy, sensational soprano, Angela Gheorghiu, the world renowned tenor, Andrea Bocelli and critically acclaimed conductor, Sir Simon Rattle.

Prom Praise Saturday 24 May 7.30pm

Multi award-winning, twice Grammy nominated, platinum album-selling US recording artist Crystal Lewis will be joining Noël Tredinnick and the All Souls Orchestra for her Royal Albert Hall debut. Crystal's remarkable, distinctive voice has won her the admiration of fans from all musical arenas. She has recorded with such pop luminaries as Kirk Franklin, Mary J Blige and Bono. She has also won three of the USA's most coveted Gospel prizes, the Dove Award. This event will also feature the elements familiar to the audiences of the annual March Prom Praise - with energetic Orchestral favourites and the opportunity for the audience to join the Orchestra and Choir in popular hymns and songs.

Majestic Praise Friday 30 May 7.00pm

After the success of last year‟s event the Pentecostal Gospel (Int.) Center – PGIC return to the Royal Albert Hall for the annual Gospel musical concert. We are again hosting Dr Ron Kenoly – the world renowned worship leader and Adlan Cruz – the world classics pianist. Also joining the event this year is Roy Roman, one of the best trumpet players in the world. Dave Fellingham, a song writer, and Stuart Townend, a dynamic worship leader, will also be performing in what promises to be an invigorating night. Pastor Abraham Oshuntola of Pentecostal Gospel Center, the organiser of this event, is pursuing this vision vigorously until the altar of praise is built in people‟s hearts. It is our desire to make the program an annual event.

Ibrahim Ferrer Saturday 31 May 7.30pm

Internationally renowned son singer Ibrahim Ferrer is one of The Buena Vista Social Club‟s leading voices. He won the Latin Grammy for „best new artist‟ (2000), following his contribution to the album Buena Vista Social Club that became a phenomenon and won a Grammy in 1998. Ferrer began singing professionally in 1941 with local Santiago groups. By the 1950s he was established as the singer with Pacho Alonso‟s group and was able to concentrate on music full time. He soon began guesting with Orquesta de Chepin and Benny More, two of the legendary names of Cuban music. By the 1970s had become known as Los Bocucos. After successful concerts in November 2001 Ibrahim Ferrer returns to the Royal Albert Hall to play classics and material from his new album.
