CLUB RULES
TITLE AND OBJECT
The Club shall be called "Andover Wheelers" and its object shall be the encouragement of organised cycling and competitions.

MEMBERSHIP
(a) Any Lady or Gentleman wishing to become a member of the club shall be proposed and seconded by members of the club. Such applications to be approved by the Committee. (b) The annual subscription will be agreed annually at the Annual General Meeting. There will be five categories:      - 18 years of age. + 18 years of age. Family. Those who have achieved official retirement age. Second Claim Membership.

The fee is payable upon election to membership and subsequently upon 1st January each year. Members joining during the last four months of the year shall not be required to pay a further subscription in respect of the ensuing year. (c) Only members who have paid Annual Subscription may take part in any club competition or open event in the name of Andover Wheelers. (d) Any member wishing to resign from the club should do so in writing to the club secretary before 31st December.

GOVERNMENT
(a) The club shall be governed by a committee consisting of the following officers of the club:        The Chairman, Vice Chairman Honorary Treasurer Honorary Secretary Honorary Racing Secretary Captain Vice Captain

And other members, all of whom shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting. Five shall form a quorum for the transaction of business. (b) The Committee shall meet at least every other month. Notice of such meetings will be given by the Honorary Secretary.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The Annual General Meeting shall be held in December and the Financial Year end on 30th November. The terms of all resolutions to be moved at the meeting shall be submitted to the Honorary Secretary ten days prior to the meeting. The Honorary Secretary shall prepare a report of the year's progress and the Honorary Treasurer shall prepare a financial statement for the year ending 30th November each year.

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
A Special General Meeting may be convened by a majority vote of the committee, or on the written and signed requisition of not less than six members of the club, such requisition to state the business to be transacted at the meeting.

CONDUCT OF MEMBERS
The Captain, or in his absence the Vice Captain, shall have full control of club runs and members must abide by their decisions. Any member who, in the considered opinion of the committee, is proved guilty of misconduct, shall be dealt with by the committee, in whom shall be vested full power to expel, suspend, or take such action as may be considered necessary.

AFFILIATION
The club shall annually affiliate members to the RTTC, BCF, BCCA and any other local or national bodies as a majority of the committee feels appropriate.

FIRST CLAIM MEMBERS
(a) No first claim member of the club may compete in open events in the name of another club without the written consent of the committee. (b) All members elected to the club will be considered First Claim unless a letter is lodged with the secretary requesting Second Claim membership.

CLUB EVENTS
All events promoted by the club shall be conducted in accordance with RTTC, BCF or other appropriate bodies as specified by the committee. Entry fees shall be paid to an appointed official prior to the commencement of the event, and no member shall be permitted to ride in any event should a fee for a previous event be outstanding.

ALTERATION OF RULES
No alteration of these rules shall be made unless carried by a two-thirds majority of those present and voting at a General Meeting. All matters arising from the interpretation of or resulting from situations not provided for in these rules, will be at the discretion of the committee. Their decision will be final.

RACING RULES
GENERAL
1.1 These rules are intended to cover the regulations covering the competitions for awards for members of Andover Wheelers. Unless otherwise stated they are for competition only by first claim members of Andover Wheelers. 1.2 Only performances where the rider has entered and competed in the name of Andover Wheelers are eligible. 1.3 Preference must be given to Andover Wheelers events. A claim for any other event held on the same day as an Andover Wheelers event will not be eligible unless the rider also competes (and finishes) in the Andover Wheelers event. In the case that the Andover Wheelers event is in a different discipline to that for which the rider is claiming then the rider must be available for official duties at the

Andover Wheelers event if performances from other events are to count. Events at different distances do not count as different disciplines. 1.4 Any competition which is not directly organised by Andover Wheelers and requires the knowledge of the result or performance of the rider must be advised to the Racing Secretary on the appropriate form by the end of October in any season. Unless otherwise stated all competitions will be based on performances up to and including the last day of September in the appropriate season. The onus on claiming and advising performances is totally with the rider. Proof in the form of a result sheet may be requested by the racing secretary. 1.5 In the event of any ambiguity or circumstance not covered by the form of a result sheet may be requested by the racing secretary.

TIME TRIALS
2.1 All time trials (excluding prolog events in road races) will be held or must be ridden under RTTC regulations. 2.2 Only results from Andover Wheeler Club events or Open or Association events listed in the RTTC Handbook will count for the competitions listed in this section. 2.3 INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP RACES The following events are Championship events which will be promoted by Andover Wheelers on a club basis. The result will depend on the times recorded in the specific event. All events are open to all categories unless otherwise stated. Events are:           Ladies Scratch 10 mile Handicap 10 mile Medium Gear (72") 25 mile Scratch 25 mile Handicap 25 mile Scratch 30 mile Scratch 50 mile Handicap 50 mile Scratch 100 mile Hillclimb

At the committee‘s discretion the 50 and 100 mile events may be incorporated in other events in which it is reasonable to expect that any club member will be able to get an entry and is within reasonable distance of Andover. 2.4 SEASON LONG CHAMPIONSHIPS The following season long competitions will beheld: 2.4.1 JUVENILE CHAMPIONSHIP

Calculated on the best six rides at 10 miles from the club racing programme on Andover Wheelers club courses. The result is calculated on highest average plus (6 rides) in mph against the RTTC gold standard award scheme as listed in the RTTC handbook. 2.4.2 JUNIOR B.A.R. Calculated on the average mph for two 10 mile and two 25 mile events. 2.4.3 VETERANS B.A.R. Calculated on the average speed (mph) against standard (VTTA standard tables) over 10, 25 and 50 miles. Note: Men use the gold and ladies the bronze standards. 2.4.4. LADIES B.A.R. Calculated on the average mph for rides at 10, 25 and 50 miles. 2.4.5 CLUB B.A.R Calculated on the average mph for rides at 25, 50 and 100 miles. 2.4.6 CIRCUIT CHAMPIONSHIP Calculated on the best aggregate time for one "Circuit of Red Rice" event (2 laps) and one Hilly 12.5 mile circuit (P602c). 2.4.7 AGGREGATE CHAMPIONSHIP Calculated on a points basis for all the individual championships which are open to all categories and listed in Section 2.3. Points are awarded as follows:    First Second Third - 4 points - 2 points - 1 point

2.4.8 LADIES POINTS CHAMPIONSHIP Calculated on a points basis for placings (ladies only) for all Championship events as listed in Section 2.3, except the 50 mile and 100 mile championships, the best six rides in club 10 mile events, two rides each of Red Rice Circuit and Hilly Circuit events and one non-championship 25 mile event. Points to be awarded as follows: Club Event 1st 2nd 3rd 1st 2nd 1st

2.4.9 MENS SHORT DISTANCE B.A.R. Calculated on the average mph for two 10 mile and two 25 mile rides in any club or open event. 2.5 OTHER TIME TRIAL AWARDS Awards are also made for fastest rides during the season for the following categories: 2.5.1. Fastest Andover Wheeler in the Interclub 25 mile with V.C. Venta and Salisbury R.C. 2.5.2. Fastest 25 mile by a Junior. No restriction except rules 1.3 and 2.2. 2.5.3 Fastest 25 mile in a season by a rider who has not ridden this distance in any previous season. No restrictions except rules 1.3. and 2.2.
