Setting the Stage
DMA08, the largest gathering of direct marketing professionals, is DMA’s annual conference and exhibition and will be hosted in Las Vegas in 2008. DMA08 will feature more than 100 educational sessions, plus roundtables, case studies, white papers and research reports. DMA08’s exhibit hall will feature more than 500 exhibiting companies covering all aspects of marketing and advertising. Historically, there has always been at least one ‘must attend’ event held during the convention. This year that event will be the DMA Inaugural Golf Tournament.

The Venue
The inaugural golf event will be held at the renowned Revere Golf Club on both the Lexington and Concord courses. These courses present a blend of beauty and challenge unlike any other in southern Nevada. Draped through the rugged desert canyons and valleys of the Las Vegas foothills, The Revere Golf Club offers unending, awe-inspiring views of the city below and mountains beyond, and the Lexington’s stunning 7,143 -yard, par-72 layout will test your shot making capabilities with classic risk/reward scenarios.

More Event Details
The event is scheduled for Saturday, the 11th of October and will begin with guests being transported from their respective hotels to the course. A DMA sponsored bus will pick up at designated areas around the strip and transport guests directly to the event. Immediately upon arrival, there will be a breakfast in The Revere Golf Club Clubhouse, followed by a day of golf. Each registered guest will receive an event golf bag filled with golf accessories, the opportunity to win several prizes and an opportunity to mingle with your peers in a relaxed setting before the conference kicks off. Both the Lexington and Concord courses will be played and limited to a total of 144 players. The shotgun start will begin promptly at 7:30am and end with lunch in the Clubhouse. During lunch winners will be announced and prizes awarded. In an effort to establish our own DMA tradition, the individual with the lowest score will be presented with our version of the Master’s jacket, the DMA LINKS – infoUSA VIP Golf Tournament Blue Jacket.

The winners will be invited back as our guest in 2009 to present next year’s winner(s) with the DMA Blue Jacket.

Being invited to play means you have established yourself as a mover and shaker in the world of marketing and among your peers in the marketing community. Through support of this event you are enabling the DMA to continue its efforts on many fronts.
We are extending this fundraising opportunity to a select group that has supported the DMA and its initiatives to strengthen the bond between consumers and responsible marketing. The event is limited to 144 golfers, comprised primarily of C-level individuals, and will fill up very quickly. Gold Sponsor - $25,000 Lexington Course; $25,000 Concord Course - Four playing slots, includes all Individual Participation benefits - Name placed on a sign at two holes and one Flag Frame keepsake gift sent to corporate office. - Per course, sponsor of the B-I-R-D-I-E roll game. Insurance will be purchased on your behalf for the $10,000 prize. At the end of the tournament, each player will attempt to roll BIRDIE using a custom set of dice. If a contestant spells B-I-R-D-I-E, they win. Signage will be placed at the BIRDIE table and customized to promote, sponsor BIRDIE game rules and the $10,000 prize.
