					Before we go online . . . In order to use RingTime in a corporate environment the security of your network must be matched with the build in security of RingTime. A firewall closes virtual communication ports to communicate to the outside world. For every application, also for web serving, retrieving mail, intra/extranet access, etc specific ports will need to be enabled (opened) by an authorized person like a network- or systems administrator.

Before starting to use RingTime read the following checklist and consult your network- or system administrator when necessary. 1. RingTime is a fully browser (web) based application featuring real-time internet multimedia connectivity based on ActiveX and Netscape Plug-in technologies. ActiveX is already operational, and the Netscape Plug-in will be released in June 2003. In order to run browser-initiated ActiveX Videophone communication center, you need to start RingTime from within Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher on Microsoft Windows NT, 2000 or XP; 2. Additionally, you need to check your browser's security options – the following parameters under Tools/Internet Options/Security/custom level have to be enabled. - Download signed ActiveX controls - Download unsigned ActiveX controls - Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins - Active scripting - Allow paste operations via script - Submit non-encrypted form data - Font download - Navigate sub-frames across different domains - File download - Load applications and files in an IFRAME - Allow per-session cookies (not stored) - And custom security level should be set to Medium;

You can check this setting manually. 3. If you are using a corporate firewall, three UDP ports have to be non-restricted: Server IP: Server port: Voice port: Video port: 212.19.195.201 80 http TCP/IP out 15327 UDP in/out 15328 UDP in/out

FastChat port:15331 TCP/IP out

4. In order to run multimedia features, you need to have certain multimedia devices installed and properly configured on your system. This includes a sound card and a microphone/ speakers set (a headset is recommended). RingTime is designed for optimal performance on systems with full-duplex sound-cards (99% of all the audiocards currently on the market meet this requirement);

5. In order to run multimedia features like the videophone, you need to have certain multimedia devices installed and properly configured on your system. This includes a sound card and a microphone/ speakers set (a headset is recommended). RingTime is designed for optimal performance on systems with full-duplex sound-cards (99% of all the audio-cards currently on the market meet this requirement);

6. The RingTime ActiveX component sends neither your private information, nor any data from people you talk to, to us or a third party. The only information that is being processed is the videophone data that you exchange with the person you talk to. The

RingTime ActiveX component bears a signature verifying that it comes from ANOX Software B.V. (for more information about it see www.anoxsoft.com).

7. In you also would like to use the Gathering Desktop Conferencing program, as included in RingTime you will need the following ports to be non-restricted: Server IP: Server Port: Voice port: Video port: 212.26.192.227 17778 TCP/IP out 16360 UDP in/out 16330 UDP in/out
