What is Holiday Happiness?
Holiday Happiness is a long standing tradition at Primrose. This incredible event kicks off the start of the holiday season and takes place throughout the entire school. It is the PTA’s major fundraiser for the year and 100% of the proceeds are used to support our children. The event consists of many different activities to participate in, prizes to win, food to eat, and merchandise to purchase. The event is sure to be FUN for both children and adults.

What are the different activities that happen at Holiday Happiness?
CRAFT FAIR- First and foremost, Holiday Happiness is a Craft Fair. Over 120 local artisans will be displaying and selling their handmade crafts. Come and start your holiday shopping early! DELICIOUS FOOD AND TREATS – Come hungry! Our hospitality and bake sale committee are hard at work to provide delicious items to fill your stomach and satisfy your sweet tooth. FACE AND NAIL PAINTING – One of the children’s favorite area’s! Come and let our volunteers create a design on your child’s face or nails. CHILDREN’S GIFT ROOM – This special room is the perfect place for your child to shop for inexpensive items for the people on their shopping list. All items are brand new and affordable. MAKE-A-CRAFT ROOM – In keeping with the theme of our craft fair, your child can come in a create a craft of their own! This is one of the most popular areas of the event, every child is sure to enjoy designing their own masterpiece! SAND ART – More works of art are created here – make a necklace, design a bottle, or fill your favorite character with sand, no matter what they chose, kids love to visit the Sand Art room. EVERGREENS – No need to go to the local nursery or flower shop, purchase your Holiday wreaths, garland and evergreens right at Holiday Happiness. TAG SALE – Located in the small gymnasium is a large tag sale! Items dropped of such as collectibles, “gently-used” toys, books, videos, baby equipment, household items, gifts, china, small furniture and miscellaneous oddities will be for sale. Come and look for hidden treasures. SOMERS MERCHANDISE – Did you miss the deadline to order the incredible Somers clothing and gift merchandise? It’s not too late, come visit this table to purchase items during the event. Sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, scarves, gym bags, blankets and much more will be available on site. Support your PTA and show your Somers spirit by purchasing one of these great items for

yourself, your child or as a gift for a teacher or loved one. CLICK HERE to view items and for more information. PRIZES, PRIZES AND MORE PRIZES - Our raffle committee is at work creating gift baskets to raffle off. Last year over 100 baskets were awarded. Baskets are filled with gift certificates, gourmet items, toys and other great items. Purchase your raffle tickets in advance or at the event! All prizes will be awarded during the event. You do not need to be present to win. SILENT AUCTION – A fabulous addition to our event. Come and bid on some very exciting and unobtainable prizes. Tickets to Regis and Kelly, Golfing, Cooking, Baking, or Sport Training with a professional. We have some real fun prizes from the Primrose staff as well! Would your child like to be Principal for the day? Come visit our display and place a bid. Stay tuned for more information on each prize and information on proxy bidding if you cannot attend the event. 50/50 – You’ve got to be in it to win it! Buy a ticket and hope it’s your lucky day. Win half the cash collected and start your Holiday shopping early! 50/50 tickets will be sold throughout the event. We will have a winner approximately every two hours. MOVIE ROOM – Another new addition! Our Somers YMCA staff will be supervising this room. After your child has visited all the areas of the event they wanted to see, drop him or her off to enjoy a FREE movie while you shop and enjoy the event yourself! All children must be signed in and out of this area – and all parents must have a cell phone in order to be contacted if necessary. PHOTO’S WITH SANTA – That’s right! The seasons main man will be on our stage at Primrose to meet, greet and be photographed with your child. Come and say hello. Peanut Portraits of Katonah will be on location to capture a photo with your child and Santa. Avoid the long lines and inexperienced photographers at the mall. 4X6 photos will be for sale. If you LOVE your photo, you can go online and purchase your holiday cards direct from Peanut Portraits – or, purchase your digital file and create the cards yourself! Help raise money for your children’s school while accomplishing one of your major holiday tasks at the same time. And, for those of you not interested in a picture with Santa – we have winter themes background as well. Bring the entire family and have your photo taken. CLICK HERE for more information.

How can you help???
VOLUNTEER -Without volunteers, there is no Holiday Happiness. PLEASE VOLUNTEER! For this event to run smoothly, we need plenty of helpers both before the event to prepare and on the day of. For more information about volunteering, CLICK HERE!!! DONATE – Items are needed for our raffle baskets and silent auction prizes. Do you have a business or know someone who does? We are currently seeking donations of various gift items that we can package into larger raffle baskets or raffle off by themselves. CLICK HERE for more information. BAKE - The Bake Sale Table is looking for bakers to donate their best cookies, pies, brownies, cakes - whatever you would like! CLICK HERE for more information. ADVERTISE – Place an ad in our Holiday Happiness Program which is given out to all who attend the event.
