USE OF TROLLEYS Any Exhibitor bringing a trolley into the pavilion must fold it up when not in use or when requested to do so by a Steward or RNA attendant. A special trolley area will be made available for the Exhibitors to prepare their exhibits prior to entering the assembly area. No trolleys are to block or hinder the public from using the passageways or inhibit free flow of other exhibitors/public. Trolleys are not permitted in the assembly area unless prior approval is obtained from the Honorary Council Stewards. Where approval has been granted then it is on the following basis: • no obstruction will be permitted on the trolleys including the sides and top; • all dogs within the trolleys must be clearly visible to the stewards at all times; • if asked to remove a trolley the exhibitor/s must do so immediately without question or delay. All exhibitors who are granted special permission to access the assembly area with a trolley do so on the understanding detailed above. Folding crates can only be used in the assembly area with the Stewards prior approval. REGULATIONS 1. 2. Judging will commence at 9.00am. If any Exhibitor is not present when called for any class or award the judging will proceed in his or her absence, and the exhibit declared absent. Dogs entered in the respective divisions must remain on exhibition in their bench allocation from 8.45am to 4.30pm or as long as judging is still being conducted on the day of judging. Any Exhibitor who is unable to observe these times and instructions should not submit an entry. For security and Safety reasons exhibitors are reminded that you MUST NOT form a line to leave the Pavilion unless the Main Doors have been first closed. Any dog entered for competition and actually in the Show may not be withdrawn from competition without the consent of the Council Steward or Honorary Council Stewards. All dogs must be removed from the pavilion 30 minutes after approval has been granted to leave the pavilion on any day of judging. Kennel signs will be limited to maximum of 60cm x 30cm displaying the name of the kennels and of the exhibit. Prize Cards and Ribbons won at the 2006 Royal Queensland Show may also be displayed without the written consent of the Royal National Association. Should any question arise for which no specific guidance is provided, the matter shall be referred to the Council Steward or Honorary Council Stewards whose decision in the matter shall be final. All dogs must be securely benched. Not more than one exhibit may occupy any one bench without the permission of the Steward. A dog may not be placed on the bench so as to be away from the view of the public, and nothing that will affect the view of the public may be added to the bench. No dogs will be removed from the benches at any time without the authority of the Council Steward or Honorary Council Stewards. It is an offence for any person to remove or alter the location of numbers of any exhibit from the benches allocated. Failure to observe this requirement may result in withdrawal of the exhibits and or exhibitors making the changes. You are required to seek approval from the Honorary Council Stewards before any changes are made. 13. Requests for special kennelling arrangements must be submitted with entries of the Exhibitors providing all relevant information of the exhibits and Exhibitors making such request. All parties making the request for special kennel arrangements must sign the application. Request for special kennelling arrangements must be made separately for each Judging day including Stakes Day on the Wednesday. A maximum of three Exhibitors may be grouped together under these arrangements. This also affects dogs entered in different partnerships and to ensure they are kennelled together Exhibitors are requested to indicate this with the entries. It is essential that these requests show, in clear printing, the breed of dog and all relevant information on other Exhibitors involved. This procedure must be followed fully otherwise your request will not be met. Exhibitors will ensure that a standby handler is available should any Exhibitor be required in two rings or any one ring at the same time. Judging will NOT be held up in either ring. This is applicable to all breeds judging, stakes and handlers classes. Any exhibit, if found to be entered in the wrong class, will be transferred to the open class. Any exhibit incorrectly nominated on the Application to Enter form by an Exhibitor may be declared ineligible. Exhibitors must wear only one exhibit number at ‘any one’ time on the left side whilst in the assembly area and judging ring. The Exhibitor must ensure they have the correct number of the dog as indicated in the catalogue. No puppies under the age of 3 months are allowed on the Showgrounds. Any Exhibitor acting in contravention of this regulation will have all exhibits withdrawn from the Show.
