One of the best things about Christmas is watching a child’s reaction upon receiving a new toy. Our Toy Room is ready for the holidays and is brimming over with special toys, games and books that are topping wish lists this year.

dinos of all sizes and species. Choose from remote-controlled, battery-operated styles and those that have authentic roars, to dino lamps, books, plush and even those that you can grow.

You’ll never be at a loss when choosing a gift for a birthday party or for Christmas if your little one is registered at The Little Traveler’s Toy Room. Our new Birthday and Christmas registry allows our young friends to select their favorite items for their wish list and keep that list on file in the Toy Room. Then, when guests visit, they know exactly what to purchase and what’s already been purchased by others. Those who register will receive enclosure cards to include in their party invitations to remind guests where to shop.

A Little Traveler Memory…
Dear Little Traveler, Last summer was my class reunion for West Aurora High School, class of long-ago. As happens, my friends are scattered all over the world. One is in Paris, one is in Oregon, one is in Colorado, one is in New York City, one is in Utah, and one is in California, to name a few. We have a tight-knit group that keeps in touch via email. Several of the girls were coming back for the reunion and, since I still live in Batavia, I had them stay with me. They all arrived on Friday. So on Saturday morning I asked what everyone wanted to do. “The Little Traveler” was the response! So off we went. We spent a great day there. When I told one of the “girls,” who lives in Utah, where we had been, she exclaimed, “The Little Traveler! I want my ashes spread there!” That is a devoted customer. We all love your store and hope it remains a Geneva fixture for all time. Yours truly, Carolyn Gray Kraft, Batavia, IL

This is a great chance to learn all about the workshops in the North Pole, and to see if you are on the Naughty or Nice List. The merry time begins at 9 a.m. Tickets are $10 for children for the meal and program, $12 for adults for the meal and a $5 gift certificate. Reservations will be taken by phone only beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 19 for the event on Dec. 1, and on Nov. 21 for the Dec. 15 event.

Christmas comes a year... but once
The chilly nights are polishing the stars and even the herald angels are beginning to think of Christmas -- and lists! Those wonderful days between Thanksgiving and Christmas – crammed with anticipation and the preparation of surprises. Add a soft touch to your holiday décor!
They’re stuffed and soft and are ready to welcome in the holidays in style. From Santas and snowmen to moose, reindeer and penguins, our soft sculptures are adorned in cozy hats, mittens, coats, and are carrying mistletoe, wreaths, and nicely wrapped holiday gifts. Assorted “stacking” styles are even bendable, twistable, squishable and stretchable for even more fun.

For many years, The Little Traveler displayed an aweinspiring antique Sicilian Crèche throughout the Christmas season. The serene images of the infant Jesus and his parents surrounded by the three kings and the animals of the manger signified the true spirit of the season. While we no longer have the original crèche, we are please to offer an impressive collection of nativity scenes. Crafted in various sizes, these scenes are beautifully designed in porcelain, sculpted metal, wood and resin. Choose from the traditional tabletop style or new presentations, including nightlights and, our new favorites, sculpted white porcelain with the Holy Family nestled within the body of an angel, or Mary and the baby Jesus tucked within a protective Joseph.

Just mention the word Christmas and you automatically think of…ducks? Well, you can now, when you decorate with our whimsical duck figures. In various sizes and wearing happy expressions, they are very dapper in their winter hats and scarves.
