Principal’s Corner Dear Fisher Parents:

Help Requested!
Our office personnel strive to be both friendly and responsive when it comes to serving our school community, while also trying to accomplish the daily work that supports our organization. As such, I am asking for your help in minimizing the mountains of lunches, PE clothes, assignments, sporting gear, birthday party cakes and supplies, etc., that are dropped off in the office for delivery each day. Please assist us by making every effort to set your day’s plans with your children before sending them to school each day. Every time a request is made for a message to be relayed to a student, a secretary in the office must relay the message by paging students multiple times during break and lunch on the intercom system, following which anywhere from twenty to forty students fill the office all scrambling through the drop-off table to find their particular item(s). This makes it very difficult to maintain an efficient and productive office environment. (See photo below) We understand that on occasion a family may miscue, but the requests for delivery have gotten a bit out of hand and we would sure appreciate your support. On a different note, I hope you thoroughly enjoy your upcoming spring break! Sincerely, Lisa Fraser Principal

TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE! PLEASE SUPPORT THE PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT OUR KIDS! ANY donation at ANY level is greatly appreciated! Visit our website to see how your donations are put to good use enhancing your child's education and to make a donation. Every dollar will help to mitigate the impact of planned district budget cuts and help keep Fisher a great place for our kids! Donate online, or simply send in a check to your child's homeroom class. Our deep gratitude goes out to those who have already donated. So far, you've raised about $7,000 Thank you!

Fisher Chess Rocks! On Thursday, March 26, after school, the Fisher competitive chess group won a match at Egan Junior High in Los Altos, 11 games to 8. Fisher students participating were Sudarshan Seshadri, Shreyas Kulkarni, Chimay Vaidya, Brian Ho, Nicholas Nguyen, Justin Bryan, David Frankle, Devon Meyer, and Rajan Panchal. Two days later, Sudarshan Seshadri and Alex Beale competed in the 7th-8th grade section of the 1st BayAreaChess Regional Grade Level Championship in Santa Clara. Sudarshan finished 4th among 8th-graders, and together they took 2nd-place team in that section. Great job!
