Disposing of old computer parts just got a little easier in Wisconsin. Many Goodwill donation centers in the state have started taking old computer equipment recently through the Dell-Reconnect recycling program for free. Computers, monitors, printers, hard drives and other parts are now accepted. Any brand of computers -- desktop or laptop -are being accepted in any condition at Goodwill drop off sites in Madison and throughout south-central Wisconsin. Some computers will be refurbished and sold at Goodwill stores while others will be sent to Dell's recycling partners and Goodwill will be paid by the pound. Goodwill advises donors to erase all sensitive information on the hard drive before donating their machine. Call the Goodwill nearest you for additional information.

The 12th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure was a record setting turnout and fundraising event! The weather forecasters missed the mark. We were promised sunshine and seasonal temperatures. We got rain, drizzle and cold air but that didn’t stop 11,515 people from participating in the 2009 Race! Here are some interesting statistics: teams are also in the top 5 Family/ Community Fundraisers: Bosom Buddies leading with $5,402.22 and Kamholz Klan with $ 4,805. Our Survivor Tent Chair also had a team, Positively Pink and they placed 2nd in the Corporate Division.
